In the tier 4 Task Force Omega Unlock, it lets me choose Omega Graviton Amplifier.
It says it works with directed energy weapons. That to me sounds like beam weapons because the item "Console - Tactical - Directed Energy Distribution Manifold" is for beam weapons.
Before I select that for my cannon boat, i just want to make sure I am not wasting my choice.
Is Omega Graviton Amplifier for all energy weapons or is it for beam weapons only?

At least this passive works against anything...if you werent going against the borg the old weapons that HAD that [borg] proc were just rare weapons....i sort of miss them because i havent had anything AP on forever due to how costly it is for Fleet variants.
I find this line of replies sadly hilarious. We put a lot of work into the massive list of fixes/changes above, and ya'll are hung up on the ability to skip our content. =p
It is the most gimpy passive ever, if (when) my ship does 4m damage in an STF, it will do less than 30k, its not even close to competitive with anything.

agreed, it is usually around 1% of total damage
although, tbh, it is an extra 1% that you dont get otherwise.. free damage is "free damage" and is not a bad thing ... just kind of weak
Not really, if I'm an escort and I can keep my weapons on target that much longer because of a shield heal, that dps will far outperform then <1% you get with proc. A cruiser could make a case for it, but really a cruiser could drop to a weaker defense or heal and more than make up for it too.
That still makes is a massive nerf compared to the old Borg proc At least for torps and mines.
The proc chance that's noted on the old Borg weapons didn't come close to what it is in reality. I parsed a few CSNs to find out what impact the old proc actually had after reading that it was broken and not working as intended.
Out of about a dozen runs (all energy Fleet patrol escort, 2x DHC, 2x DC, 3x Turret) it averaged out to the following:
Hits by Energy Weapons: avg. 2.849; Chaotic Particle Stream Hits: 49 => 1,7% proc chance.
It's pretty much dead on with the Graviton Amplifier. Lower chance to proc, but higher damage output. I haven't parsed it with torps or mines, though. The thing that gives the Amplifier a bit of an edge is the fact that you don't waste a weapon modifier, that it works on all weapon types and against non-borg targets.

If you take a look at the increase in DPS some of the other weapon modifiers (after hit cap) and damage-increasing, energy-type procs (e.g plasma dot) will give you, it's pretty much in line with all of them.

I did 1.5m damage and did 77k with passive.
Slightly more useful than what you stated, but still not that great.

I can see the proc in logs, with ships that have beams and torps, they each get credit for the proc at different times
