MY fleet spend an hour trying to finish Khitomer Vortex on elite. The only reason it took so long is because of Donatras random cloaking. Reset to 5k so we dont spend our night on one ship. Not fun at all.
Yes please. you used to be able to follow and find her while she is cloaked but now she TELEPORTS WTF. Durring the moments of when she cloaked you could do X2 damage due to the shields not blocking the shots but now due to the new bs cloak she takes longer to fight. And if she doesnt teleport then somthing is defently wrong with the cloaking mechanic on her since she does not follow a predictable path anymore.

She doesn't teleport, but her speed in cloak is unrealistic, she's faster than an escort on full impulse. I can track her with hyper plasma torps... but still, that's fast...
There is definitely something wrong with Donatra. Ive been killing her for a long time and seen her go through many changes but this latest takes the cake. I find now if your group happens to fail the optional Donatra's AI uses the Cloak on average about 10 times more than if a group completes the optional. With this increased cloaking comes making KASE last not a "few minutes" longer but usually makes it take about 45 minutes to fully complete, far too long for a STF. I have been in some KASE where Donatra will uncloak, fire off her power shot then recloak right away, non-stop, making the KASE last almost an hour because the team wasn't allowed any time to do damage.
I have to admit that dealing with the random Tele- Cloak is becoming a bit aggravating.

It's also painful when you line up your special attacks like Disruptor Auto Cannons and she Cloaks mid attack but takes no unshielded Damage.
Her Charge up for her death blast attack is a bit random has well and sometimes has a hair trigger.
SNB should be able to take her Cloak off line for a small amount of time at the very least.
Tracking her under Cloak is not an issue but it's the Goku like Instance Transmission that she does while Cloaked that becoming the real pain.
Agreed, this change didn't really make her HARDER, just more tedious and time consuming. In a way, it actually made it a bit easier, since you are seldom in range of her thalaron thing when she decloaks. On the flip side, it will sometimes kill you when in range even if you are out of the firing arc, i.e. directly behind her.
All in all, not a great change, but not a game breaker.
My guess is "hope" keeps people not playing but posting on the forums. For others, its a path of sad realization and closure. Grieving takes time. The worst "haters" here love the game, or did at some point.
Donatra is still pretty easy to beat despite the latest changes.
If there is any grief it's that the time honoured methods to counter trap cloaked units seem ineffective against her.
Gravity wells, Tyken's rift, warp plasma, theta radiation dumps.. nothing seems to slow her down.Even tractor beams and tractor mines lack the strength to hold her.
This program, though reasonably normal at times, seems to have a strong affinity to classes belonging to the Cat 2.0 program. Questerius 2.7 will break down on occasion, resulting in garbage and nonsense messages whenever it occurs. Usually a hard reboot or pulling the plug solves the problem when that happens.
I agree with the fix to the tactic where you could stay 5k away and she would never cloak because that made it a little too easy. Now she cloaks too much though, sometimes almost instantly after decloaking its getting riddiculous. I think she needs to have a cooldown timer on her cloak so she can't instantly cloak right after decloak.
Also here is another idea, why not make sci ships actually useful, and let all their abilities that counter cloak work on her. She should not be able to cloak while tractored or in a grav well, and CPB and sensor scan with high aux and spec into sensor skill should decloak her. Whats the point in even using a sci ship or designing anti cloak abilities if we never end up with any oppoutunities for it to be useful in pve.
