While I play STO on my MacPro on Win 7x64, I too would love to have a native OSX client for when I need to be doing OSX stuff at the same time.

Running under Parallels is one way to go but...

Dstahl hinted that we might get a Mac version in one of the recent Ask Cryptics. Haven't heard anything about it since, though.

"Critics who say that the optimistic utopia Star Trek depicted is now outmoded forget the cultural context that gave birth to it: Star Trek was not a manifestation of optimism when optimism was easy. Star Trek declared a hope for a future that nobody stuck in the present could believe in. For all our struggles today, we haven’t outgrown the need for stories like Star Trek. We need tales of optimism, of heroes, of courage and goodness now as much as we’ve ever needed them."

I would love to see a native Mac OSX version as well. I was able to install both LoTR and DDO via Steam in a native Mac OSX version, I've been hoping that STO would go this route as well.. (Still crossing my fingers...)

Until that time, I still have my Windows PC to play it on, but it would be great to have it on my Mac as well...

In the meantime, there's always doh's unofficial Wineskin wrapper if you want to run it without having to boot to Windows first.

I love this game so much that I installed windows 7 on my Mac, wasting 40gb of my hard drive. I would love a native Mac app. Why not just try and submit it to apple as a game and add it to the Mac App Store? I know you can use wineskin, I've tried that, also crossover and paralleles, but you just don't get the same quality that you do on an actual platform, not an emulated one.
