In this week's episode of Priority One, Executive Producer Daniel Stahl stops by to talk about Legacy of Romulus and to answer community-submitted questions.
Is it possible for C-Store ships to come in a bundle? The ship itself and the console is bundled so that someone w/o ship slots can get that console without the drop and switch stuff...
I mention this because Dan mentions allowing Romulans to fly ally faction ships is in part because people have paid for these ships...If we can use the consoles from an ally faction's ship without claiming the ship we'd still get one of the big benefits for buying these ships. Think the DS9 Bundle and the "Klingon DS9 Bundle".
I mention this because, honestly, we all know that when Rommies can fly ally ships that will be a big reason for never giving the Romulans starbases or full autonomy. "Can't take these things people paid for away from them" etc.
So the allied faction ships stuff is here to stay? This is really the worst element of the expansion (even if it looks cool), and what I hate most is that you don't have the guts to say it explicitly. We're not children.

It's here to stay, Yes... but after listening to the rest, what Romulan would want a crumby FED or KDF ship anyway? What with all those cool new abilities and powers a Rommy has with a Rommy ship!

I'm not convinced at all by his arguments. The best escorts will remain the andorian ship, the defiant and the Jem'hadar bug. Many people will choose a cheap option if they can and pick a fed or kdf ship they already own, which aren't garbage at all. This faction isn't going to look Romulan at all, at least not in space. Expect a lot of Romulan tacs in odysseys.
You know, when the devs say a ship is awesome, I always remember that one day one of them said that the fleet galaxy is by far the best tank in game.

Only one of those ships (Kumari) would you actually already own. Unless you're talking about the basic TER, which is a pretty terrible ship.
Also you never know, maybe what the Warbirds lose in exchange for singularity powers is so minor (or nothing) that their escorts (The T'liss, T2 and Mogai retrofits) can punch it out with those ships on even footing.
Plus, i'm hoping from the general whining of the forums that the romulans won't look like feds in space because there is clearly lots of people who disagree with the system. I assume we'll see many people currently complaining about the romulan faction getting access to cross factions ships as Remans/Romulans in Kumaris in the near future.
When is LoR going to be fully released on tribble for testing?
Its barely over a month before its release date and there really hasnt been any testing with the romulans only the new UI and a few other things like warp cores.

What is this 'Testing' you speak of? Surely a foreign concept here...
Dan Stahl really avoided the inquiry when they were questioning him about what would be
given as an incentive to balance people into both factions. All we, the Imperial Empire, have
to entice Romulan Republic players to align with us is more choice towards cloaked starships.
That and the Defense Force being more akin to the Star Empire than the Federation, RP wise.
The small Fleets Can buy at Fleets At Higher Level. The Not as intended Ability to buy at a base you are visiting makes the system fair, just extend this to ships. Let small fleets grind for previsions and let the large fleets have the fluff they earned. the best dressed Bases should be a big fleet club.
