Well, if tribble is any indication, yes, we will have Reman females.
Oh? This I will have to go check out.

Well, a little bird told me there's references to Reman females in the Tribble game files .
Thats not to say they'll end up doing it though.
They may just have the males and females look the same.
For that matter, will we ever see female Nausicaans, Letheans, Gorn, and other species currently only available as males?
I hope any female Gorn will just be the same male ones but with the word female attached, female lizards are generally bigger, however I don't think the character creator will get any taller. Besides look what happened to the female Saurians.
As for the Nausicaans I thought the ones from Enterprise where the females, slightly smaller, and less bestial, but more intelligent. Benn played and voiced by men adds to the alienness of them.
Norway and Yeager dammit... I still want my Typhoon and Jupiter though. JJ Trek The Kelvin Timeline is just Trek and it's fully canon... get over it. But I still prefer TAR.

Yeah, I am actually fine with Gorn not having a visible difference. The height, which you can set yourself, should determine their gender. And if the current height is not enough, make em be able to be a bit bigger.
That is a neat idea of the Nausicaans, but are you able to get the classic Nausicaan look vs the Enterprise Nausicaan look? As far as I know all Nuasicaans in game are Ent. Nausicaans.

I'm not sure I only have a Nausicaan BOF and it has less options than a Nausicaan Captain would.

There is one simple reason to allow female Gorn/Nausican/Remans;
Ferengi.
Ferengi women are traditionally not allowed to even wear clothing let alone travel the galaxy. It is a relatively new concept for them. Yet the character creator makes them equally common. If anything the ability to play a female Ferengi should probably be a unlockable.
As should being able to play a female of any traditionally male dominated race.

You know...with the Ferengi, I actually think there is a case to be made for their high numbers in Starfleet. I imagine a lot of traditionalists are still on Ferenginar and make outspoken women's lives miserable. Striking out on their own in Starfleet could be seen as a major, viable alternative for such women. So I could actually see where the high recruitment numbers would be coming from.

Female gorn? You people are sick. What's next? Transgender tribbles? Wait a minute...
well for all we know tribbles are female...they freaking purr for Q's sake....and breed faster than the energizer bunny connected to a warp core....and the only male one is the one stuck in an alternate timeline name the "wisest tribble"
plus we have Caitians and Ferasans (sorry if i butchered the spelling KDF).....seems most people buy them to watch their tails move back and forth....(yells at cryptic wondering WHY it costs $5 PER Caitian Boff....per character -_-)
I find this line of replies sadly hilarious. We put a lot of work into the massive list of fixes/changes above, and ya'll are hung up on the ability to skip our content. =p
If Reman females look anything like that all I can say is keep that friggin thing away from me and I thought we already had female Gorn, those are the big ones that throw boulders at people.
If something is not broken, don't fix it, if it is broken, don't leave it broken.
You know, in my view the new character creator is a missed oportunity. You should create your character, customize it, and then choose your gender. Can I make a guy and label it a woman? Yes. Can I make a female and label it a male? Yes and what should be the problem?
This mechanic we do have with traits. You can choose traits and then chose your gender. Now some traits are more or less gender specific, they fit in more with a specific gender, yet both genders can have them.
I expect them to look like female nosferatu from Vampire: The Masquerade.
But I would also not rule out that the female remans might end up look like a eyepleasing species on its own (like the difference between the male and female Trolls from Asprins Myth series).
edit:
corrected races; had been a long time ago when I last read the books.
With the Legacy of Romulus, I have to ask...with choices in the species we play being so limited, will we at least have male and female genders for both Romulans and Remans? Has Cryptic designed the female Reman?
For that matter, will we ever see female Nausicaans, Letheans, Gorn, and other species currently only available as males?
I know some of you are going to mock me given that these species aren't going to satisfy some in the eye-candy department. However, I believe I speak for those of us interested in roleplaying and really developing our characters' backstories, that having the flexibility to create characters of both genders in all species would be very nice.
That, and I would also love to see what Cryptic's art department comes up with.
I certainly hope they expand into females for all the species who would have them. However, Gorn females had best not have TRIBBLE because that would be absolutely TRIBBLE with a species who we KNOW lays eggs, is a reptile, and lacks the mouth features required to take advantage of such structures.
Knowing Cryptics design, Probarbly no Fem!Gorn, don't fit the game in all, I mean Reptile girl? NO!
also, if they want (and I hope NOT for the love of everything that is star trek) they can add sexualize females to KDF species that only have males playables (naussicans, Letheans and Gorns) and females Remans (Rewomans?) for the republic. They can put ANY story behind it just to throw them to the Character Creator.
KDF needs more soldiers from their allies? put females
KDF needs more captains? Put females
KDF needs more cannon fodder? put females!
KDF needs more X?X?X action? PUT FEM!ORIONS!

Just like the Saurians.

What this means for Holodeck when LoR goes live is anyone's guess, but...
I was playing with the alien creator on Tribble (for a fed, since that is all you can create at the moment) and there were options for a female Reman. Looked very similar to the male version but more "softer" I guess.
So that leaves open the option for a female Reman (for those who want that). However, again I want to caution people. This was very beta (i could not adjust skin tone without going back to the generic alien and changing it there), and there has been nothing official from Cryptic so who knows what we are going to get come May.
In an upcoming episode, you learn that all Remans, Letheans, Gorn and Nausicaans are TRIBBLE.
Why do you need females? Do you feel uncomfortable with the idea?
Because there may be women who want to play as female, like my fleetmate she hates that there are only very few female options on the KDF side. Do you feel uncomfortable with that:P
But looks like Remen will have a female counterparts.
Says who? I don't believe we ever got that kind of information in canon about the Gorn, Letheans or Nausicaans. The only species that comes to mind are the Ferengi....
That is annoying with them but to be fair they look a bit more like a hybrid between Reptile and Mammal and there are some indications from the shows that they could have mammaries. However, I would prefer that they also did not.
