This surprisingly isn't a joke. With KDF starting at lt level again, how long till you think people in Kerrat, Otha and pvp queues start reporting you for pvp'ing them?
I know several people have reported me for killing them in places like Otha or Kerrat to which they were politely told by me, then slagged bitterly by zone chat that it was an Open PvP Warzone and if they weren't prepared for combat they shouldn't be there. I have even been asked if I was an NPC before with people joining PvP matches not realizing they were fighting real players.
So question to everyone, think this ignorance that causes brief moments of hilarity is going to get worse or better with season 8?
LOL! Do you know how many times I have been repoerted for killing a player who thought he could wisp into Otha or in an arena and do the mission unopposed? The community we have dosn't understand pvp. There is no honor to it. If you get spawn camped it is your own fault. But, I do beleive the spawns should be protected by a "home base" equiped with turrets.
I have never been contacted by an admin. Reporting a player for pvp dose nothing. It is a waste of the mods time and it takes attention away from what could be a more important report.
About the whinning, I drink their tears. It keeps me youthfull and strong for hundreds of years to come!

In the end, I think it will cutdown on the amount of reporting being done - tbh.
Feds currently don't run into anybody until 20 (though, I never tried to glitch on a restart to kill Feds with a KFed) - so to them, it is a PvE zone. From the start, that it is a warzone should be much more apparent now.
In general, though, in regard to those folks that don't want to be killed in Ker'rat - they're somewhat under the impression that the zone belongs specifically to them. They're trying to farm stuff...who are they to say that the person that just killed them didn't do so because they wanted to blow up that hulk themselves, eh? I've never understood those particular complaints - they're the epitome of ego...meh.
A question I have, mind you, is what about the Romulans before they pick their ally? You can hit Ker'rat before 10 - will Romulans be able to hit Ker'rat before 10 or will they be blocked from doing so since they haven't selected an ally yet?

Logically, they'd have had to pick a side. More likely, this has been overlooked and they won't be able to get in at all, even after level 10.

I didn't want to laugh, I'm trying to be miserable about the whole thing - but lol, I had to laugh - cause I can see Cryptic totally overlooking that like you said.
Lol everyone knows klingons go to kerrat to farm or wait before pvp queue starts. Klingons fill up their dailies quota, while we feddies are stuck becoming space dust.
I myself am a feddie farmer of ker'rat, I don't want klingons in a BoP sneaking up on me when I've already engaged a borg. I have lost a lot of loot because of that. Now I accept ker'rat is a PvPvE map, but don't complain if you find yourself with no more feddies to kill for your dailies cuz we will ignore you and hopefully (when the ignore feature starts working right) we will no longer have to see you in Kerrat. Simple fact of life . I've stopped caring about the kdf feelings when they gloat and taunts poor feds for their bad builds, luring and wasting their time while kdf collect like the good ferengis they have become mwahaha.
They can just as easily have a friend load up a Fed alt and complete the daily - take turns, etc.
The thing is, the "loot" you've lost - is not your loot. To the victor go the spoils...
The Fed is buffing and moving toward a hulk/cube.
The KDF decloaks, kills the Fed, and takes out the hulk/cube.
Heck, think about your fellow Fed that comes up and decrypts a node while you're fighting the Borg? What about the Fed that flies around cloaked waiting for the 8 encryptions and then pops the four hulks? What about the Fed that aggros and then placates a train of Borg into another Fed?
You're acting like it's a single player instance - and - everybody else there is just an inconvenience to you. It would be funny if they gave you your "working" ignore - you'd ignore everybody - but it wouldn't stop them from "stealing your loot"...
Cryptic made a map with huge potential in ec earnings, but the implementation of it breeds disgusting competitive habits.
It's um...called a warzone for a reason. It's a competitive map, regardless of whether it is Fed vs. KDF or Fed vs Fed or KDF vs. KDF.
It's along the lines of SB24. If you heal somebody, they might end up doing better than you and get the reward. Best to let them die. Same goes for KSF and GM.
Outside of STFs/Fleet actions where failure to work as a team can result in reduced rewards or no reward at all... when you're joining up for even Mirror - it's competitive PvE just like SB24, KSF, GM.
While you're not shooting the folks (well, you can - /cough) - it's still PvP because it's competitive. Ker'rat adds additional PvP elements to that - in that it's easier to shoot folks. You don't need a BOFF/Gear to do it (will kind of be funny to see the increase of it with T5 Tholian Rep, eh?).
In the end, one may wonder why you need to farm the EC in the first place. Simple desire to have something? Or is it a case of wanting to have something better than the next guy? Or just having the best in general? Well, not the best - can't get the best like that outside of a few things. But again, in looking at X vs. Y - you're comparing things. Those things are competing for your attention and your EC. Yep, that disgusting competitive nature of the gear...
There's far more PvP and competition in the game than many people realize or want to admit. Heck, even the folks trying to score some cybernookie at Drozana are competing against the other folks trying to score some cybernookie at Drozana. More competition! More PvP!
Yeah...that's um...why it's always so surprising when folks complain.
Lol this is not something that can be argued logically. Cryptic made a map with huge potential in ec earnings, but the implementation of it breeds disgusting competitive habits. Maps like Ker'rat could be fun, but currently the way it is, the less players I see in there, the better!
The way it is right now, feds generally have less experience in PvP and they have never heard of fleet premades. No one like to get pug stomped. So obviously the best way to do that is to avoid instances filled with klingons like the plague. Again fact of life.
And if you don't like feddies getting their stuff while you don't, well you can avoid the feds like the plague too . Oh you say that's no fun? Really, they're making it hard for your to get that daily quota? Boo hoo.
Least I can give you some credit for trying to troll PvP'ers (or you are one in mask). It seems rat space is rubbing on you. Keep the troll practice up your get better :P

The only bit that kinda gets on my t*ts in Kerrat is the ones who think its real life.
I always laugh at the ones who make a big deal because they killed you in a dogfight, normally its one of the ones who fires from cloak all the time and theres not a lot you can do about it, or it took 5 of them 3 minutes to kill you, and you still managed to take 2 of them out.
Oh, spiking the warp in zone, shady, underhand and honourless.
Generally though, I just go in there to try new builds out to get a rough idea of what to expect in a PvP queue.

I cant speak for all KDF players but I hunt feds in Kerrat so the other KDF players in there can complete the mission easier.
even if it gets worse, kerrat makes people to learn about pvp, makes people to enjoy it, makes people to try and test new builds without having to wait for a premade
