So as I was reading through the forums as normal, I just got this idea.
Would some of my fellow KDF players perhaps like to look at making a 'welcome' video for Romulan players?
Now, this is just the basic idea, so all thoughts and such are most welcome.
I probably wouldn't be able to record or edit the video itself, because...I don't know a THING about editing videos and such. So even if one of my fellow KDF players takes this idea and runs with it (I don't mind if they do that), I at least wanted to get the idea out there.
I remain empathetic to the concerns of my community, but do me a favor and lay off the god damn name calling and petty remarks. It will get you nowhere.
I must admit, respect points to Trendy for laying down the law like that.

Why would they join a half-assed faction with half the assets?
That's a pretty neat idea, I have some limited experience in video editing, my old youtube channel has some videos on it like an Excelsior series opening credits. http://www.youtube.com/user/CaptMajest
However I have a commission on currently plus a few other things. But if no one else steps up to the plate I could possibly do something in late April early May.
Support the Game by Supporting the KDF, equality and uniqueness for all factions!

I hate this sort of attitude.
No matter what game you play the devs will NEVER be able to keep up with players ability to consume content.
KDF has some passionate players who could really add to the immersion and feel to the game that Trek players look for. Klingon players are as much niche players as Romulans will be.
If the KDF can cater to people who want a Klingon/Romulan experience then the KDF will be just fine, even with half the assets.

I hate naive blustering, but what are you going to do eh?
Anyway, who are you kidding dude? If passionate players and a Klingon experience are what players want, theyll already be Klingons... that's why you're a KDF right? That's why I'm a KDF. It's slim pickings.
Consuming content is irrelevant, I didn't say anything about mission content. The leveling curve is short and you spend 95% of the time at cap, missions aren't important(unless we're talking end-game Foundry, then +1 Feds). I'm talking about how we have a third of the ships(assets) the federation does, and that gulf widens everyday.. That's something that could have been EASILY addressed by Cryptic, they just chose not to.
If you choose KDF, you are choosing to be the red-headed stepchild. If you want to play Klingon, you have to deal with that... If you want to play a Romulan, you don't. Picking KDF just isn't the smart choice. The fed-aligned Romulans are the new golden boys. They are going to have a massive variety of ships, and they are going to be a beneficiary of, by far, the most new content going into the future (both Fed and Romulan).
We'll pick up a few die-hards and roleplayers, people who recognize Romulan principals have no business in the federation. And we'll pick up a few scragglers who don't know better. The smart players will go for the goldmine and Fed align... and that probably includes a bunch of current Klingon players who will now get their BoPs and battlecloak in a federation wrapping.
I dabble a bit in video editing and could give it a shot. I'm very much looking forward to the kinds of stories that will be told with Romulans proving themselves to be worthy allies to the Empire!

Honestly I thought about jumping into that conversation with you but you're just bitter and negative. The feds do have more ships than the KDF but in all honesty a LARGE portion of those ships are copies of each other. They only exist to provide different models.
The KDF on the whole have GREAT ships. The fact there are less of them really doesn't matter. Each ships provides a role and they are ALL canon ships.

You guys never thought of that before?
The KDF needs a new PR department.
