Welcome to the recruitment home of: The Imperial Romulan Strike Force.

We are a Romulan-esque fleet that is centered first and foremost on community and fun. We are a group of Romulan fans that enjoy playing the game and having a blast while doing so.

We are a mature community; there is a 0 tolerance policy for BS, over-inflated egos, politics or drama. Real life carries a lot of drama and stress for most these days, and when we log into STO and say hi to the fleet, we're ready to kick back and have fun, not argue semantics until we turn blue (green?) in the face.

We do not have a large roster to boast about, but to us that isn't the be-all end-all of a fleet, not by a long shot. A fleet should be comprised of folks that want to play the game and have fun doing it; they should be courteous to others and be ready to help or give advice if it is asked for. We want people to feel as though they belong to a community of friends rather than feeling like they're nothing more than another number on a guild's roster.

We are in the process of upgrading to a T1 Embassy while the SB just finished upgrading to T3. Our KDF side fleet: Imperial Strike Force: Bloodwing - is about to be upgraded to T1.

We welcome anyone and everyone; casual to hardcore or lifer to F2P. No one is excluded. Keep in mind that most of our members are casual, some jumping on after a hard day's work and desiring nothing other than to chat with some friends and run a few missions. We do not exclude hardcore players, but at the moment we really only have 1 person that could be called such. If you have to have a super hardcore fleet, we are probably not for you.

We recently acquired our own private Ventrilo server, so those of you who love voice chat will likely find that a helpful resource to have on hand. Our fleet forums and website should be functional soon; we are still working on getting them sorted and operational, and let me assure you that we do not have a participation quota. Use it when the mood strikes you.

If we sound like a fleet that you might be interested in, send an in-game mail or PM to one of our leaders. We hope to team up soon!

*Note - We are not affilitaed with any other fleets within STO.

    We have people from all different time zones, US, UK, and Australia so there is likely to always be someone around for you to chat/team with.

    I'm sure the news is spreading like a raging wild fire, and I will openly admit that I am in tears from unadulterated joy at hearing that we finally, after years of waiting, get our own faction.

    We are actively recruiting and steadily growing. Come and check us out.

    It's worth mentioning that this fleet have nice, dedicated, friendly leaders that are committed to building a great fleet.

    There is another Romulan themed fleet out there claiming things they are not. Do not fall for it, join the Imperial Romulan Strike Force.

    Nice. Nonetheless you guys are always welcome to use our Vent server if you like; I have plenty of slots.

    Regarding our website, we are doing full custom code job so it will take a little time but if the reality matches the concep it will be well received - I hope.

    Anyway, I look forward to seeing you all in command of warbirds one day soon. Then we can all fly in the shadow of a raptor - as it should be....

    Jolan tru!

    Just wanting to voice my support and interest in this fleet!

    I played STO since open beta. I even was briefly part of the IRF at its infancy when it was only a forum topic and a website, and we still thought we'd be playing Romulans before the game reached open beta.
    When the Romulan faction was canned I decided to roleplay a proper Starfleet captain, and so never actually joined IRF ingame. I played it until the F2P debacle etc. and eventually quit. I did return sporadically to the game to occasionally find some nice improvements (i.e. the crew system is loads of fun imho) but alas I also found lockbox spam from every mob I killed and I couldn't click a button or I'd end up in the C-store somehow, while my chat was constantly filled with "Player x has received a Ferengi marauder from his lockbox" "Player Y has received a Jem'hadar assault fighter from his lockbox" etc:confused:

    Anyhow, to cut a long story short, by sheer chance I happened upon the STO site last week for the first time in 6 months or so, and what meets my eye? A Romulan faction, finally, woohoo!:D
    I'm more than willing to look past lockbox spam, clunky ground combat and repetitive PvP maps, if I get to finally play my beloved Romulan centurion!!;)

    I'm not currently playing STO, but I'll certainly be returning to the game with the Romulan release. IRF seems to have become a tad to hardcore for my tastes, so when the time comes I'd love to join you lot!

    It's also worth mentioning while you guys are mostly casual you do have a quite a few people that will do the harder content and like the challenge too. Something for everyone =)

    Yes indeed! We have had quite a few newcommers this last week who like a good challenge, and it is been a lot of fun teaming up and running things. So now I can safely say that we are a mix of casual and not so casual. There is now literally someone in-game virtually all the time! How awesome is that?

    We now have a complete T3 starbase (a quarter of the way to T4), Embassy will likely be T2 within the month! We have a great group of folks who are getting it done and having a great time while doing it! We team regularly, share randomness and hilarity on our TS server, and have one hell of a good time.

    We hope you'll give us a try and see why quality of fleet mates far outranks quantity; you are more than a number on a roster with us.

    Still growing and still recruiting!

    We are about to hit not only our T2 Embassy upgrade, but also the T4 Starbase upgrade, and both will be coming sometime within the next week! We have an awesome group of people that not only work hard on the projects, but also know how to have a good time and just relax and play.

    Since joining, I have been welcomed when I log on, been invited to run instances, and had reliable answers when I had questions. I have also laughed and just hung out enjoying the company both on voice and in chat channel without being pressured to do anything. The group has enough fun that the base growth just happens as a by-product. I cannot say enough how impressed I am with this group.
