If there's anything I would want to see that could never happen, it would be unique careers for each faction. That is to say, tactical KDF captains would have unique captain abilities different from the Fed ones, and same for Romulans and so on. Having completely identical tac/eng/sci between fed and KDF is... just kinda boring. There's potential for so much more there, a truly game-changing difference between factions that actually makes them all worth checking out and could drive utterly unique faction-based play styles and builds.
Your idea has been suggested several times over the last 2 years, but the Fed only players keep crying and whining that the Klingons (and in May the Romulans) are OP and everything they have must also be available to Federation players. And Cryptic has always catered to their pet faction.
The PWE/Cryptic sweatshop...not where the game is made, but where the game is played!

I seriously made a character named "Admiral McNeil". His only duty officers consist of advisors and refugees which he trades off to random worlds. He then takes any GOOD officers he has and either posts them on the exchange for easy cash or he finds some other method of transferring those duty officers to my alts.
At present he's got a Nebula-class he bombs around in, but I was considering giving him nothing but a shuttlecraft. He spends most of his time at Starfleet Academy eying up young female cadets.
I haven't done it yet, but I also considered making an office for him (via the Foundry) which would either be based at the Academy or spacedock.
Why am I doing this? Just to simulate an Admiral who mopes around planet-side doing nothing but looking important and occasionally (though rarely) performing a useful task for the betterment of the Federation.
Foundry missions: "Salvaged" and "Preemption (Federation)" brought to you by the former "Tom_Riker01".
