STOWiki admin.
This topic was actually the original challenge for #6 but I changed it to "Beyond the Web" once I learned Tholians were being added
Cheers,
Brandon =/\=
Oh, haha, so it was just coincidence?
By the way, did you get a chance to play through my mission?

Foundry challenge #9 (8 will be Romulan content):
Create a mission where the player spawns up without the away team, has to rely on melee weapons and uses EV suit.
Good luck everyone.
God, lvl 60 CW. 17k.
Please give yourself tons of time to test. Combat is very different depending on the type of shuttle, the nature of the reskinned mob, etc.
For example, I can't complete my shuttle mission with Mk XII purples on a captain's yacht. Other people find it incredibly easy.
Every mob is a weak Orion group. If you use fighters, they are just too hard to target, from my experience.
People either find the mission incredibly easy or incredibly hard. Plus, there are tons of folks who fly in with their escorts or cruisers, ignoring "THIS IS A SHUTTLE MISSION!" Then they complain about it being too easy or too tight for their Galaxy class ships to fit through.
It's definitely a challenge. Good luck all.
Best of luck to all contestants though. I look forward to playing their entries.

Try and tie it in both.

Part of a double feature. 1)Use your runabout to pick up a Romulan Senator from Tal Shiar space and avoid Romulan Patrols. 2) Respond to a distress call from a startship who's crew have turned into flesh eating monsters.
Im going to try a small builder up to th PFP with these.. (until something smaller comes along they'll be the "small" purple spiders.)
Now how I'm goin to use them continue with the Ask'kaar plot in a shuttle mission... well... Come on brain... do your magic!
That must be one of the worst tng plots ever. There's a reason it was never followed up on. Plus there already an Undine infiltration plot in the game. Just my opinion.
Parallels: my second mission for Fed aligned Romulans.
the reason it was never followed up was because...
- Memory alpha
Besides. I think the episode was good..
plot was good..
rimmacks head exploding was
Mystory about them was even better :P
As for the novel about them... well.. Im going to ignore the Trill hybrid thing...
And for the Undine... maybe their used as some form of mind control?
Same group that got enterprise axed most likely.
The Tng: Coming to age set up for a good plot. Something had infiltrated the "perfect" Starfleet.
Later on Conspiracy left us hanging with that scene of the exploding head guy sending a message to who nows where.
Those two episodes alone were better than all the Voyager Borg rubbish.
As for the bugs. I suppose at the time people were leaving the perfect peaceful era of TOS. Which is most likely why it got negative feedback, we did see that creature burst out of the guys stomach and then the inners of his corpse.
I'm looking forward to seeing what you come up with. I'm not one of those "negative reaction" people, though I admit that was about 3 years before I started watching Star Trek. Ever since I saw that episode I thought it was cool and always thought that was a plot that should be followed up on.
I am going to attempt to do BOTH Dark Frontier missions of mine AND the Challenge! MWAH HA HA I AM A MAD MAN!
I am going to try and make my missions minimal combat and as much Space based as I can, I proper exploration mission... In my opinion the best stories in Star Trek didn't have combat!
i.e; The Inner Light, Contagion, etc.
Episode Four - Head Of A Needle Episode Five: The Duality of Men Episode Six - Redemption Earned
Episode Seven - Shattered Universe Episode Eight - The Gepetto Condition Episode Nine - One Room, Two Officers
Episode Ten - Beyond The Farthest Star Episode Eleven - It's OK, It Won't Hurt Episode Twelve - A Protracted Officer
Episode Thirteen - Somewhen Episode Fourteen - The Boy Who Lived Episode Fifthteen - Empathy
How exactly can we use/ switch to our shuttles now?
I knew how before it was changed. been awhile since I used one outside of an Episode that puts you in one automatically.
You mean ingame, or as a Foundry author how to force players into shuttles?
The former is possible. Go to either a starbase with a shipyard guy, your ship's transporter room, or the most easiest of all, the default shuttle bridge. Talk to the ship selection guy and hit the "Select: Small Craft" radio button at the bottom. Then beam out.
The latter is not possible. Trust me, if it was, it would be a lot easier to play my Challenge #6 mission. :P

Thank you
yes in game.
hum will try that once server back up
I'm thinking this might be a good time to try it.
Anyways, good luck guys. I dunno if I should keep or remove this but hey? Here is it anyways:
I've re-named my mission from "Temporal Investigations" to "Vulcan - 2063 -".
It felt more appropriate, plus I noticed another mission with the title "Temporal Investigations" - which was a continuation from a mission (not mine, I don't think). I don't want players to be confused. XD
I've also updated it here and there and will continue do to so throughout Easter Holidays (I'm UK).
The story is just continued, with a new map and a few new characters. Plus... an optional to find out about my next mission.
Just kidding, but it is a place holder until my whiteboard has things under control. Although if done right it would be hysterical.:D
^^^Is it ok if I use Species M-113 (salt vampires) with default costume?
about ship costumes does every ship have to be a custom costume?
Enemy and Friendly.
*even though it's very hard to tell in game the difference between default and custom?
Hell in this entry i got the Saur animal dressed as Golem like creatures!
The only thing you cant do is use the likeness of real people, so you cant have Spock or Donatra in it but you can have their 'secret offspring/decendants/etc'.

1) Is there any chance that foundry going to be updated for this challenge to force the players to use a small craft? There will be space fighting in my mission and the story would make absolutely no sense if the player were using a starship ;_; I know I may be asking too much, but maybe just for this challenge...?
2)Can I import exist npc costume into my foundry? Say, I want to use Captain Shon of E-F in my mission, but he can not be found on any of the public map, and I can't find his uniform in the available costume list. Does that mean I can't use him as a npc in my mission?
3)How can I make the story move on after the player get defeated? Like what happened in the spotlight mission "Cause, then effect"? Players ship get killed by a bunch of enemies, after that the story move on to next map instead of repeat the plot, asking players to kill the enemies.
Any response would be appreciated<3
