bound uncommon/rare doffs

notapwefannotapwefan Member Posts: 1,138 Arc User
I have quite many bound common/rare doffs. and I am wondering what to do besides dismissing them. Sure I can accuse them of being a changeling and execute them without any trial but what else I can do with them? Can't be sold or traded and as far as I know they can't be used for officer exchange missions.

Suggestions?

Edit: and which rare bound doffs I should keep? For example, Dr. Sibak should stay. Anyone else?

They can, in fact, be used for the Cardassian-space officer exchange missions. The civilians you'll just have to execute.

I'm pretty sure you can throw bound commons into the starbase grinder... I've seen the little "padlock" symbol next to several of my whites when I've done it.
Typically, I have none to confirm this with today... can anyone verify?

The greens and above you could transmute into lower tier unbound ones in your academy, but if they are special doffs, I fear that you can only dismis/put them into doff mission to get rid of them

there's a mission for recruiting labor to work on Karremman/Wadi colonies. that mission will accept ANY civilians, bound, uncommon, colonists, prisoners, I think it even takes photonics.

It depends on your preferences. Personally I keep all of the Renown DOffs, the two Jem'Hadar from completing "Facility 4028" and any DOffs from Instigate Defection.

I don't really use any of them (except for the Explosives Experts I have from Instigate since I'm short of EEs) but I keep them all for sentimental reasons and the impossibility/difficulty of getting them again.

When I reach a commendation rank and get to draft a new green (or blue) doff, I always look at its traits and pick one that can be "sold" in the officer exchange assignments. I have many toons and use this strategy on all of them. It works fairly well.

Karemman (honourable+teamwork) and Ferasan (aggressive+unruly) are usually pretty easy to manage since the traits needed for them are common in your faction (whichever one you play). It is pretty common to get both traits in the same doff. For Karemmans look at Andorians. For Ferasans look at Nausicaans.

Cardassians (both factions) like efficient and eidetic memory, but you will almost never get both in the same doff. For KDF it is mostly Gorn who qualify; for Fed Saurians and Benzites are good but the abilities do crop elsewhere.

Bajoran is probably the hardest because they like spiritual and NOT logical, and as a Fed most of your spiritual guys will be Vulcans who are also logival. Look for Rigelians mostly. Paradans like logical and unscrupulous but you will almost never get both in the same doff. But your Vulcans will all be logical.

Wadi like congenial and tactful and not aggressive - you often find these traits in Orions; sometimes both at once. Dosi like cunning and aggressive and not honourable, and it is rare to get both of these in the same doff but an orion who is in the tactical or security division might do it. But you will get lots of aggressive doffs in KDF so if you get an aggressive non-honourable guy you want to trade him for a Dosi.
