    1) Dan, can you tell us how many new KDF-Only story missions have been added to fill out and 'complete' the KDF faction?

    2) Same question as #1 except for the new Romulan faction?

    When can we see more foundry additions? Details such as New flooring textures, wall textures, spawn settings and everything mentioned in this thread: http://sto-forum.perfectworld.com/showthread.php?p=8590611#post8590611

    Kirkfat pointed out a sorely needed addition and many replies in the thread also point out some sorely need foundry content.

    Also, the dilithium cap needs exploring. I know the fixed rate conversion cap reflects partly time-earned currency and a limit for monetary purposes but supposing like the EC upgrade in the Zen-Store you can spend Zen to convert say 1000 more dilithium per day with a maximum of 4 upgrades would definitely go a long way to helping players support fleet projects. At say 2500 Zen per upgrade it would take a while for players to convert the required dilithium into zen for the upgrade or allow for more revenue in purchased Zen. Gold subscribers would unlock 1 upgrade for the time that their subscription is active and lifetime subscribers would have 2 - both subscribers would still need to purchase more to get the higher dilithium upgrades.

    1) Why can't we log off or come out of a pve/pvp match and end up back on the starbase? Is it fixable?

    2) Hypothecal: Is it technically possible to add other variants to the Oddy/Bortasq/Vesta/Andorian ship packs with another console? Just an example a flight deck oddy/bortasq with a lower hull, shield, crew/higher turnrate but with the ability to put on all the consoles?

    3) What is being done with the starbase? are we going to get some quest/doff functionality with it? Is it just an item store?
    Should I start posting again after all this time?

    When will we get actual rewards added to the end of each doff commendation category and if its coming when T5 is added to the categories when will that be?

    Hiya devs., thanks for the good news today! ;)
    Now to get to the questions:

    1. Can we expect to get Andorian phaser ground weapons? Same as regular phaser, just with a blue touch for our spoiled Andorian chars. to go with their new Kumaris.

    2. Is it possible to get an ushaan/kar'takin melee pack in the C-Store as the bat'leth/lypra one that is currently availible?

    3. Do you have any plans to make improvements to some winter social zones? For example, could Andoria and Rura Penthe use part of the resources from the winter event and make it possible to have ice-skating and timed snowball fights against eachother for some vanity loot like EC, just for the sake of fun? I expect that this combined with the installation of bank, mail & exchange consoles would make this social zones much more visited and allive.

    4. What is your opinion of having a Klingon K'vort class that could have the 5/3 weapons layout? Do you consider this possible given the edge on escorts and sci. ships that Starfleet has over the KDF, to give such an edge in the cruiser department to the Klingons for more diversity?

    5. Can you share with us if there is any more KDF content than the mentioned tutorial and level drop comming with the "Legacy of Romulus" expansion and possibly spill some of it if there is? ;)

    6. Can you tell us if the new ships of the Romulan Republic will have certain specialities, like leaning towards science or having some enhanced version of the cloak?

    7. Can we get the Klingon helmet/coat uniform combination from the J.J. Abrams movie? Also, are there any new uniform packs comming to the KDF?

    first off star trek on line is now going to be #1 mmo for the next 100 years . my question is with the new changes going on, do you plan on changing the doff system at all ? the reason i ask is if you do doff missions you can level up so fast with in three weeks your toon can go from level one to level fifty . if those skill points could be used else where say reputation system instead maybe that would help smaller fleets with fleet projects where delithium is difficult for them to gather .

    Will we be able to play as TOS-style 'indistinguishable from Vulcans except by clothing and behaviour' Romulans, or will we only be able to be TNG (and everything since excluding the 2009 film) bumpy-forehead Romulans?

    Also, will we have access to the TOS uniforms (both male and female)?

    There's been talk of a 'Founders of the Federation' ship pack as a possibility coming down the line, perhaps with Vulcan, Andorian and Tellarite ships. With (or maybe without!) that in mind, what are the chances of seeing the distinctive needle-and-ring Vulcan Suurok-class make it into STO? (I always thought that trumped the D'Kyr).

    Also, on the subject of Enterprise-era vessels - any possibility of getting the Intrepid (the 'half-saucer') into the game somehow?

    Just a few more questions you will ignore anyway. ;)

    Question 1:
    Can we get a special console which makes Heavy Cannons (NOT DHCs) availlabe for Starfleet Cruisers?
    Equipping them would (of course) occupy one console slot at those ships, no Hull Hitpoint loss since Starfleet Cruisers in general are still less maneuverable than KDF Crusiers, while Klingon Cruisers still can use DHCs instead of just Heavy Cannons and can use their cloak for alpha striking.
    (this console would also change the Heavy Cannons fx to look like a Beam weapon, just for the sake of canon, i know no one cares about that anyway. :( )




    Question 2:
    Can we get a "Mirror universe Exploration Cruiser Retrofit" for the C-Store?
    A mirror Galaxy -R with the BOFF & Console Layout of the Ambassador -R.
    (easy to accomplish, all ship model parts are already in the game. No balance issue Ambassador is already in the game, too.)

    You could sell that ship for at least 2000 ZEN in the C-Store, you would make all TNG and Galaxy Class fans a HUGE favour with releasing a ship like this.
    You made the Ambassador as a gift for the 3 Year Anniversary, that was awesome!
    But i would be more than happy if i could BUY a Galaxy Class with the same BOFF and Console Layout!
    Please make this happen, you couldn't do us a bigger favour!




    Question 3:
    When will you finally rework the ship mechanic to make STOs ships work more like Star Trek ships?
    My point: the MMO "trinity" doesn't work with Star Trek ships at all.
    Ships in Star Trek never where "healers" or pure damage dealers, not even the defiant. Pressing Star Trek ships into a standard MMO mold doesn't work.

    Why not make all ships equal strong (offensive/defensive), just supporting different playstyles?
    Escorts fast, strong forward attack (action oriented, no change necessary)
    Cruisers slower, equal strong attack. (Slower and more Bridge Commander like paced combat))
    Science ships, Crowd control, science magic stuff.
    Btw. Cruisers should get at least +2 turnrate, anything lower than 8 is just boring and has nothing to do with "balance" whatsoever.
    Just add some offensive forcussed Engineering powers, like a "Beam: Rapid Fire" or something like Scatter Volley for Beam weapons.




    Question 4:
    Can we P L E A S E get this?

    how about a 3 pack like the andorian ship had. in this case, the galaxy class if any ship should have 5 forward weapons. it will hardly be as big a deal if its got all beam arrays

    heavy tachyon beam click to activate ability- the heavy tachyon beam console would basically be like the normal tachyon beam, only 3 times more powerful. it would also deal knetic damage over time. this is supposed to be the attack from BoBW, different from maco 3 part, thats only a single burst, this is an over time abilty


    the large phaser array would basically act like the andorian wing guns. if you have seen them in action you will understand. it should have that visual charge up effect along the array, something unfeasible for just normal array weapons but for this special weapon that only fits on this ship thats different.

    it should be a 2 shot per cycle weapon and have a 360 deg firing arc, or maybe 310 degree or something, just not dead aft. it should have 4 total hard points for each of the dorsal and ventral arrays. basically the 4 corners of the array, the same palaces the saucer pet fires from if you have ever watched it in action

    torpedo high yield spread click to activate ability- the torpedo high yield spread would fire photons at up to 3 targets a 4 torp spread, but it would detonate on impact, not in proximity. it would deal normal THY3 damage to each target.


    2 part set bonus
    +1 turn
    +3 power to all sub systems
    +15% power transfer rate
    + to crew recovery rate

    3 part set
    changes the 'torpedo high yield spread' skill into 'lets see what this galaxy class starship can do' skill. this will fire the HY torp spread, and do a phaser lotus like attack with the large beam array. the beam attack should look like this, only they should remember the change effect with each shot. 90 deg fireing arc on this


    saucer separation interaction
    you can use the saucer sep console on this you get from the galaxyR, but if you do its the pet that gets the long array weapon, and your left with 4/3 weapons on the separated portion if you have the long array slotted. also the 3 part ability wile separated is disabled, it reverts to the normal 'torpedo high yield spread' console power.



    the galaxy R and fleet galaxy- technically, these all should be slot able on these ships. the difference would basically be the 4/4 weapon setup and the station and console setup they have

    galaxyX, eventual fleet galaxyX- let them use these things as well

    The (Fleet) Galaxy-R as it is in STO, is just inferior any way too passive compared to any other ship in STO. I won't write now pages of explaination for this statement, please feel free to read some threads about this topic yourself. Let me just say that the GalaxyClass in STO is just alienating everyone who like the Galaxy Class, because it is made completely different as it should be...


    Now the intersting part for you:
    CRYPTIC would make a huge bunch of money when finally releasing a useful Galaxy class!
    Even more money than with the release of the Vesta and Odyssey packs. I think Cryptic hugely underestimates the Galaxy Class potential and popularity.
    Releasing a actually fun to fly and more true to its original, it would be a long awaited fan service because the Galaxy class as it is, is just dissappointing and embarrassing compared to EVERY OTHER ship in the game. That ship and it's fand don't deserve to punished. Please do something about this misery.

    This was sort of asked earlier, but I am going to assume that Romulans will get access to the current rep trees and go one further, since I am paranoid that you will have missed some of the faction-specific items in the game when implementing the Romulans: will there be a Romulan equivalent to the MACO and KHG sets for them at the top tier of the Omega reputation tree (perhaps an "adapted" version of each of them, since that would make them the same across all three factions)? Or will they only get access to the Omega set?

    Fleets:

    Is there going to be a time in which we can add personalized projects such as fleet name and own banners. Also would it be possible to personalize or edit the current fleet ranking system? Fleet leaders need more flexibility now that it has been expanded from what it was since launch time.

    PvPs: Are we going to get new maps and content for upcoming PvPs? Ground maps seem in need of some loving care and so does content.

    Customer Service: Now that we are bringing more content and new players at STO, are we developing the technical service response time adequate to changing times? It would be productive to have limits on response time for filed tickets in game as well as wesite support.

    Career skill: Is there an outlook to buff or at least balance Science and Engineer careers as opposed to Tactical? The game seems lumpsided in favor of tactical skillsets.

    When will we get the ability for more races in the character creator? Such as, Half Vulcan, Half Betazoid, Half-Klingon, and any other half breed species. Also, What about antennae that move for the Andorians? I saw you posted about expanded character creation, are these anywhere on that list?

    My question/request - With the foundry missions, Would it be possible to add a filter for Space and Ground Missions,
    Only I enjoy participating in these but takes forever to search / read and engage in the missions. I am partial to the space adventures rather than ground.

    What kind of new ships are we going to see for the romulan faction? Are they just going to be variations of the basic Birds of Prey and D'Deridex or will we see a large selection?

    Greetings Mr. Stahl,

    At the present time it appears the Romulan faction is a republic i.e. R.R.W. (insert name of ship here).

    First, I was curious; will we be able to play as an officer in the Romulan Star Empire? If not, will we be able to join the Tal Shiar and crack down on those players attempting to join the Romulan Republic?

    Second, will our warbirds have the ability to cloak in sector space while moving around? It would add an element of "fun" and Star Trek to the game sir in my humble opinion.

    Last, will our capital homeworld be New Romulus or a different location? It would be?odd in that our capital city/homeworld could be accessible by both the Federation and the Klingons sir.

    Will we be seeing an actuall KLINGON science ship in this expansion. We semi role player types would much like to see one.

    Once the expansion is launched is the beginnings of territorial persistant PvP next on the agenda? (ala Starfleet command Dynaverse?)

    Is my secret leaker of information really going to be skinned with his hide left hanging in the studio reception lobby as a warning (assuming you catch the worthy person?) And if he is, can I have his computer? (my KDF main these days IS an Orion after all!)

    Well we see a KLINGON battle carrier to compliment the Vo'qov? (flying a battle carrier thats the design of the Klingons most implacable enemy ...bothers me.!)

    What sort of ship to our KDF kitty's be getting.. The Farisian's want to know!

    The Destroyer class ships are a nice midway between raptors and battle cruisers.. will we be seeing any more of these?

    Ok, ok, I can dig that wearing the same old beaten to crud Klingon battledress is traditional and all that, but we KDF need a bit more flash to go with our "horde in space/Star Viking" feel. How about some more accessories? (like some customizable sashes or something...I got money!!!

    How about some more colors for the KDF unforms color palat..

    Need some racial bridges for the non Klingon ships.. you guys need some setches?

    Q1: Will Romulan characters be getting TNG/Original Series and other uniforms aside from the new style that has been presented?

    Q2: Will current Romulan ships like the D'deridex and Mogai get a visual touch up to make them more detailed and customizable?

    Q3: Will Romulan faction members get their own unique guild starbase design, and ship interiors? (please try to keep them from being oversized like the Odyssey bridge)

    Q4: Will there be open PvP with all 3 factions fighting in the same battle?

    - Will the current special doff packs (Gamma, Fleet, etc) have Romulan doffs for us at launch of the Faction? Temporal Ship packs?
    - It appears Roms will get a TOS starter option. Will KDF get this as well? Will these be added to already purchased TOS bundles?
    - In addition to Romulan and Reman I assume we will also have Joined Trill, Lib Borg Romulans (and Remans?)
    - What will be the unique DOFF Commendation Category for Romulans?

    I have a lot of uniforms, and uniform slots to boot! But with that, comes a lot of disorganisation! It costs me energy credits to try and reorganise and replace uniforms in an order more befitting. Would there be a way of looking at a "drag and drop" system in the tailor, to reorganise and prioritize uniforms for what and when we need them?

    It's great that you've announced the new Romulan faction, but I am concerned about the KDF. Although we have all noticed they are now from levels 1-50, I would prefer details on what you've done there rather than the latter first. Penny for your thoughts? :)

    Great question as I have a lot of ideas for Romulan missions. That's assuming they ever answer my ticket that I submitted several days ago about not being able to create a character because I have no foundry slots or something like that. Apparently if you delete your last foundry character then it breaks! :eek:

    1) What does a 3rd faction mean for the PvP queues

    2) Will romulans have fleet bases, and are the prices for holdings / provisions / etc the same as for the kdf and fed. What about Ultra rare doffs from past promotions.

    3)What are the ways in which you decided to do things differently with this faction compared to the kdf?

    4) Where to go to hug a Dev?

    Will the TOS Romulan be Free, or will it be in teh C-Store?

    Also, will it have the iconic TOS Plasma torpedo (it's red)

    I appreciate the F2P model Cryptic has implemented which allows players to play all content for free. Thank you and the staff for what everyone is doing.

    When you add warp core's to space sets will you also address the importance of maintaining crew during a space battle? Despite my investment in Crew Alive and Recovery items there does not seem to be much difference, or penalty, if those items are equipped or not.

    Can you share more information about what Warp Core's will do?


    Oh, and will you introduce the Rapier Destroyer or other Fed. or Alien race ships from computer games such as Birth Of The Federation?

    Will the kdf ever get proper rewards for doing the undine missions? Right now they are Mk IX & X where the feds can get Mk XI.

    Will the Romulan faction have Liberated Borgs that will be playable by LTS players?

    Just wanted to say Thank You for the surprise I for one was not expecting to see a Romulan faction till the begining of next year.

    With the release of the Romulans does this mean the KDF will also be done to the same original content % as the Federation with many of the bugs that haven't been fixed, well fixed?
