Can we get a Fleet Cruiser Retrofit?

I'm a little frustrated. Available to Vice Admirals are almost all the previous rank Ship Models as Fleet Retrofits, except of course the Lt. Commander rank Cruiser. Of all the Star Trek Ship Designs, The Cruiser is my absolute Favorite! Is it possible to get Fleet Refits of ALL previous ship types? It would be nice to utilize the skins of the ships we purchased that are playable only for a single rank very early on in the game. I LOVE me the Classic Trek Constitution Class, or the Exeter, or the NX Enterprise model.

The constitution has been banned by CBS from the top tier. Cryptic is only allowed to have it in the game as a low level ship.

CBS denied Cryptic from releasing a T5 Constitution. I doubt they would authorize a Fleet Constitution either.

I have never understood this line of reasoning. We already have a top tier Excelsior, which is barely any newer than the Constitution. We also have a top tier B'rel, which is arguably an even older ship. Both are iconic designs, and it in in their interests to let fans use the Connie in endgame.

I believe it's because they fear that everyone would be flying around on Constitutions.

But with the infusion of NON-FEDERATION SHIPS which CBS has approved, it just seems like BS at this point.

it's their trump card for when they run out of ideas and start losing players and money. Can you imagine the amount of people they'd have lining up to play if they suddenly announced a Fleet Connie or T5 Connie in the Z-store? They'd make a shed load of money off of that. Or they could do the worst and troll us with a Constitution lock box.

What about a fleet Exeter? Fleet Vesper? Fleet Excalibur?

See, they already did the other T2 fed ships in fleet version. It's long overdue for a T2 cruiser fleet version.

This is an intriguing point which I have brought up on numerous occasions, across the forums. The Excelsior and B'Rel, as iconic as they can be (and even featured in the Dominion War), should not be outperforming other, newer, larger, and more technologically advanced starships, no matter the hardware upgrades.

But people refuse to use common sense, and choose to use Cryptic-sense. Rather "cryptic" situation, wouldn't you say?

I wouldn't mind seeing those ships in the T5 category either - just to add some variety. But it's not within our control as players, and Cryptic is also restricted by CBS. If you really want that ship so badly in the T5 category, I suggest you start a (starts with P and rhymes with statician) and send it to CBS.

But the Vesper, Excalibur and even the Exeter are all Cryptic designed skins/ships. Shouldn't need a petition or anything.

Yeah, i didn't quite get that logic too.

I mean, if STO where at least a bit to be taken serious, ships like the Excelsior, Galor or D'Kora wouldn't be that strong (firepower wise). But since STO is just a Star Trek themepark i see no good reason NOT to release a Endgame Constitution.
They should just make sure it doesn't get more firepower than a Sovereign, Galaxy, Ambassador or even Excelsior. Maybe as a science/engineering cruiser or something like that, but in no way as a Firepower monster like the Excelsior or a escort, that would really be rediculus.
On the other hand i could imagine giving it a BOFF & Console Layout like the Fleet Heavy Cruiser Retrofit.

I think a fleet cruiser retrofit should stack up in the same way the fleet saber and fleet nova stack up at that tier.

And yeah, they can lock out the Connie skins and just leave it with the Vesper, Excalibur and Exeter skins. And sidestep the entire issue. Those are all cryptic designed skins. Should be a-ok.

There's just no reason not to have this ship at fleet level right now. They made a fleet saber and a fleet nova available.
