Has there been a news leak? Dil price jumped to 100

Jem pack has been out almost a week and dilthium/zen never got above 95 on the launch of sale day.

Now 1 day to go the price hits 100? Something coming to the Z-store on Thursday that I missed?

    Likely people stocking up in anticipation of buying Romulan Z-store ships or other such nonsense.

    I keep pretty close tabs on it. Had a huge thread on the price crashing. Now it was 93ish this afternoon and I off for about 4 hours and Bam! 100

    I am thinking what's up?

    Couls also be the fact that the discount on fleet support doff packs expired, hence increase in price (from 233 zen to 275 zen). Which means, zen just got a bit more expensive.

    That's logical - it's good for Cryptic then it means even after 6 days the packs are being printed faster than the Federal reserve is printing US dollars.

    Saw a post where someone spend $500 dollars!! Insane.

    I think zen will get a lot more expensive as we can closer to May. No matter what content will be in there, there will be z-store stuff. Expect the market to go insane and zen to skyrocket if there is a rich romulan content, especially a faction...

    If you had the lobes for business, you will sell your zen for dil at the top and sell it back when the "bubble pops"

    I'm hedging my bets that the sudden jump in dilithium prices is due to the pending release of new fleet weapons this Thursday on Holodeck.

    • Updated Andorian Phasers with appropriate stats for Mark XI are available on the Dilithium store.

    I'm looking to get the fleet andorian phasers myself.

    That can't be as the price of Zen would fall as people buy dilitium to get that new gear. All fleet gear costs dilitium right?

    Looks like people are just addicted to the doff pack and the price raised from 233 to 275

    Ok I see now being I just failed dilithium/zen economics 101. I did though convert my dilthium to zen and sold 160 million+ ec worth of packs while they were at 233 zen.

    Read the bug forum, the dil exchange is bugged atm. Currently it will take your dil/zen when purchasing but not give your what you bought. The GM/devs are investigating atm. So people arent posting new orders cause of this.

    Dil/zen is disappearing/caught in limbo. Once this is fixed itll go back to normal im sure.

    Anybody know why when you buy zen with dilithium why it's so high? :confused:

    Please restate the question in a coherent manner?

    At 90-100 dilithium each, Zen is cheap on the exchange. Last year, a single Zen used to cost 300 dilithium each. That was back before we had fleet starbases and projects that demanded millions of refined dilithium to complete. Right now, the C-store doesn't sell anything valuable enough to make Zen more valuable than it currently is.

    I'm saying when I started it costed 91 dilithium per 1 zen now it's costing 96-103 per a zen. But it's good for selling zen! :cool:

    You do realize that it's a player-driven economy, right? Basic market economics...the price is based on what the market will pay. I've seen dilithium:zen range in price from the high 80's to nearly 300.

    I have notice the small movement are based on promotion of the week. As others have said market driven. When the Andorian set released that take Zen purchase the exchange went up to approx 95 from 89. I would say this week rise is due to the Fleet Support Duty officer promo with the Jem'Hadar Attack ship. Probably also the countdown...larger spike as the days get closer to next???

    Depending on the content of tomorrow's announcement, I expect zen price to skyrocket while people stock pile for all the z-store goodies will are likely to get in May.

    Quite Simple people want that JHAS aka Bug. People have spent all they can afford buying Zen and now they are grinding as fast as they can to convert to Zen.

    I already got a bug but I am being greedy and am trying to obtain another. I can't afford to buy any more Zen this month so I am converting all my Dil to Zen for a change at another one. More Dil being traded for Zen means the market price goes up.

    I know the odds are long but as I said before I enjoy collecting the Lobi. In my opinion these Doff packs are a much better deal then the Lock Boxes. I have obtained several ultra very rares Doffs in my quest for the JHAS.

    That is the right conclusion to me as well. I myself had spent no "real" money on packs but instead converted huge amount of DIL into ZEN to buy packs...won't say how much but I know lots of people are doing the same thing. This is to get around spending "real" cash since some of us are not born with a golden spoon like that guys who spent $500 on packs for the JHAS. I can say that I got mine for 1/10 of that prize using the exchange :eek:

    Pay attention folks, thats why it went totally bonkers. Now that its fixed its on the way back to normal. I expect it will stay in the 96-97 range for a while with the jem bug doff pack.

    I think the anwser is much,much simpler all the people who stocked up on dilthium are out.
    I know all the people in our fleet who horded it prior to S7 and the one click easy dilthium foundry missions are out.
    Now people are forced to buy dilithium with ZEN to build Starbases and buy items.
