Hello everyone, if someone remembers about my dream of an escort with 5 fore weapons ... well, epic win for me ... {snip} ... PS: which is better ?

torp point defense can only be equipped on the armitage, but the PDS consoles have such long cooldowns, they aren't usually recommended anyway.
Certainly in something as squishy as the Kumari, you're probably way better off putting armor consoles in your eng slots - with VERY little healing available, the hull needs all the help it can get.
dont waste ur money friend the andorains all suck, way to squishy to be effective and they are nerfing the andorain special weapons, not at all worth the cot, trust me, i know i was one of the suckers who bought the bundle, i want my money back.
Heh, no matter what the ship, there is always some vocal crowd that will scream that it is useless, no matter how many other people prove they have the skill to fly them effectively. They get even more angry when you fly one well...
If you go the sci or eng route, they have both more hull then other c-store escorts (I haven't checked them all, but my MV has less hull, and my non-fleet defiant) and an extra sci or eng console for resilience. And they can have the patrol escort boff layout. Anybody ranting about how squishy an Ando escort is either A) Is just regurgitating garbage they heard somewhere. Dont know how to fly or the most likely C) Both.

Not sure about the Andorian naysayers but my Charal melts faces. That extra fore slot is great. They are a bit squishy but I get the extra heals with Charal being the eng version (I'm a tac capt though) so I can def hold my own and only die when not paying attention
Hehe I'm still resisting stripping my Kumari. I realize I can likely build her better without her specials but they sure are fun.
Stripping her specials off would seal the deal for her survivability. I'd have room for a neutronim and a field generator.... but she is still new I like her with her perks for now.

Yes, the Kumari has 5 fore weapons, but the armitage has the hangar.
Also, the armitage has a more resistant hull.
I think that an Armitage equipped with runabout can easily take down a kumari.
But this is only my opinion.

the 3 Kumari consoles works greatly together, but the have a very long cooldown.
and the PDS is pretty useless
