actually I just got home from work its going on 9pm est and at first the launcher wasn't loading right and no I couldn't connect to the server.... Maybe I shoulda stayed at work another hour.....
You'd think with all the money I and many others actually spent into this free game they would try and maintain the servers better and or at least restart them on occasion when the lag gets bad.
After you do wait long enough to get the sign-in screen, you get into game and "time-out" on zoning. Crashed twice so far like that and now the sign in screen won't load again.
I've noticed some higher degree of engine lag in the past week or so in 5 and 20 man instances. It would seem the servers/engine are having problems keeping up.
Last time I seen problems like these were around launch when the game had too many players to be functional.

restarting a server has the bad habit of creating more issues
I got in once, had to put in a code I got via email.
I went to do a daily an "Timed out"?
Been trying to get back on, but only get to "trying to connect to login server" before being timed out.
Sounds like they are having server issues tonight. Guess I'll play something else for tonight. At least I got my duty officers off to their daily assignments.
add me to the list. the launcher window opens, but the screen doesn't populate any info, it just stays white I did see much earlier today that there was going to be some sort of maintenance for twenty minutes, but I don't remember when they were going to do it.
I have U-verse as well. Normally when I have problems staying connected, I've found that resetting the residential gateway (by pulling power briefly) takes care of it. Not this time, though - I'm just as flummoxed by this as anyone else.
Wish I could say how many were affected, but I could not get into LOTRO, STO or Champions. Got into SWTOR. There were several threads about similar issues on the LOTRO forums. The only thing that everyone had in common was AT&T. Friends that had other service providers were not having issues.
I am on ATT uverse as well. The moment I plugged my computer into my ipad and tethered it, it worked fine. The moment i switched back to ATT, refuses to connect or on the very few chances it does connect....it doesn't stay connected. I've tried power cycling the modem but hasn't worked.....just thought I would add another impact statement to the thread.
This may be a ATT problem. I have a ATT T1 line and have called and made a ticket. However, they say they've checked my circuit and it is working fine altho up and download speeds are no where near what a dedicated T1 is supposed to be (with 1 computer solely on the network) and it has been that way since at least last night and probably before that as I've experienced lag in STO for days now. And there should be no lag with a T1 expecialy with no1 else on the network.
However, surfing and TOR seems to work fine and patches from TOR download at the speeds I'm used to.
I tried logging in about an hour ago. Took forever to initialize the launcher, took forerver to authenticate, clicked engage and it just sits there, with a little message in the patching progress bar that says "unable to reach login server (3)."
Tried again, same result.
I have ATT U-Verse.

i have the same issue server not working right ummmmm maybe they should get rid of the guy that taking care of it and hire someone who now what to do. I'm getting tired of getting kicked out of game and log back in
This sounds like a problem with ATT. The best thing you can do is to call them up and explain the problem. More often then not, calling will get you some answers, whereas sending a mail won't do squat.
I do find it curious that SW:TOR seems to work, but no other games in some of the cases... Maybe SW:TOR uses other means of staying conected. The Force works is strange ways it would seem .
I had play this game for awhile then stopped got back on had to link the accounts played for a few weeks then stopped because of work then logged back on had to link cryptic account forgot password changed password went to log back in it wont let me changed password again logged in it wants me to make a new guy, I have a lvl 25 or 28 but it wont let me log in on him i even sent my name to my email and looked everything over i dont know whats going on but i cant even talk to a support tech i have sent a few tickets but no response its been a week now i just want to play on my other guy it made me make a new one and i could use the the old name because it says its taken im the only person with that name all my on line gamer tags i use that name for 18 years now just need some help on getting back on my old account i was just on it a week or 2 ago

While I have U-Verse this is the only game I have that is affected by this (SWTOR, TSW and WoW are working fine.)
