Why does it say may? When the timer ends in 10 days it will be march still?! march 20th or 21st...
What is going on with that timer. It's been bugging me since I saw it. I think someone got the hasheesh out in the PWE office. Maybe that is why it's so perfect. 8d
That isn't simple at all? Why would anyone see a timer with 10 days and the wrong month and think that it is for an announcement. That in no way is a normal conclusion.

The right questions at this point are:
1. With the TRIBBLE Perfect World has been force feeding us lately, why do we even care?
2. With the TRIBBLE Perfect World has been force feeding us lately, how is this big news going to crash the game, break everything I use, nerf everything I like, and over charge me for even more worthless junk I don't need.
Examples:
Winter Wonderland was released with a bug race system that had to be "fixed".
Andorian Escorts didn't work at all.
Andorian Dilithium weapons still aren't right.
The three year event almost brought Earth Space Dock to a halt with lag, which had to be "fixed".
The new additions to the reputation system, the borg officers, didn't even work for two weeks.
The list goes on and on and on.
And you guys are excitedly waiting for a new faction?????
I'll let you in on a little secret: IF this is a new faction, it will suck but it will be a boom for Perfect World.
New officer slots will be purchased at the Zen store.
Maybe a new ship or two will be purchased at the Zen store.
New Romulan faction fleet base to start and spend money on.
New Romulan reputation system to farm away with your new officers.
.... and there may even be some new Romulan additions to the Federation/Klink reputation systems for you to update as well.
This is just more ways for you to spend money and then complain complain complain that nothing works the way it should..... ENJOY!

Considering that is the conculsion I, and everyone I've spoken to about it, came to within about 5 seconds of seeing it, it would infact been a normal one.
Everywhere I look, people are screaming about how bad Cryptic is.
What's my position?
That people should know what they're screaming about!

if the important update is happening in may. wouldnt they start telling you about it well before it comes out? why shouldnt they start talking about it a little over a month before it gets released.

The ability to think would come to that conclusion. I'm not normally a **** (actually I am), but really? Yes it is. It's very common for an announcement to come before an event. The only possible thing that would throw me is because from what I've heard there hasn't been many if any major announcements before an event prior to this one.

When you get to college, take a marketing class. All will be revealed.

Don't even need education. You just need to follow game media for more than a few hours. There's countdowns like this running almost all the time, giving a release date and a countdown to an announce date but not revealing what the product is.
Sony had one for the PS4running for over six months, ending in February 2013, but with "2014" as the teaser text.
