Anyone notice the disappearance of the sell tab in Dilitium store. For those who didn't know, it was Ship and space items->Requisition ship equipement->Hangar, the sell tab was availlable. Now its not anymore, didn't see anything in patch notes and I must say this is a major pain in the neck.
I have a couple alt that have a full unlocked inventory but on a couple I don't and now I can hardly do a full Tau Dewa patrol before having to go to new Romulus just to sell junk. That sell tab was really handy and now its gone without anything to prepare for it and it going to be back and forth, back and forth just to sell stuf. By the way, I know about "recycling" in inventory but that give only 40% of value of the item "recycled" so I don't use it.
So is it a new unintended bug or did you remove something usefull because ....(insert reason here)?
Thanks for answer dev, its not gamebreaker but will be a major pain having to stop everywhere to unload junk from inventory
Jamal : Tactical space specialist. USS Bug Warrior and many others
E'Mc2 : Science Reman torp T'Varo, deadly annoyance :P
Kunmal: Tactical fed Klingon, ground specialist, USS Kanewaga
Ka -tet Tier 5 fleet fully completed Starbase and fleet property
I didn't even know about that... I never use the dilithium store but that was clearly something they didn't intend because that's the point of the recycle and the lower return. You were supposed to go to a vendor or call the azura to liquidate and get the most value. I assume it probably helps sell inventory slots from the c-store.

This seems like it could be intended, a lot of us ave been using it knowing full well that they would be patching it one day.
A ninja patch is a little shady though, just let us know your patching it. Yes, people may get mad but at least it isnt a backroom deal being made with the hangar guy.

I find this line of replies sadly hilarious. We put a lot of work into the massive list of fixes/changes above, and ya'll are hung up on the ability to skip our content. =p
Ah Cryptic, once again fixing things that don't need to be fixed while ignoring things that do, typical.
Yep their was no reason this needed fixing wile things that need serious attention get ignored for so long. Why was this fixed but not the Tholian Red Alert that is still bugged. This shows how little they care about the quality of the game and does nothing but anger people and causes people to spend less and play less. People that make the choices for this game need to do a better job and learn how to make good choices. They should be embarrassed with the quality of their work and their choices of doing things.
Because it was broken, and took me literally <2minutes to repair. Posting this reply took longer.
For the record, I have no control over things like the broken Tholian Red Alerts, and nobody could conceivably fix them in <2 minutes.
Bort, while I didn't see it as "broken" I can understand, if it wasn't intended. My one request would be, can we get more vendors that sell at the 50% mark?

It's a shame more people don't understand that fixing game-breaking bugs takes time, not only to find the cause, but also to devise a fix for it at all, and make sure that fix actually works...
But no, they complain that the easily-fixed ones get priority when the reality is, they're easy to fix, and it's easier to get rid of them now than to forget about them later.
Sometimes I think people need to get their priorities straight, instead of criticizing other's...
Was named Trek17.
Been playing STO since Open Beta, and have never regarded anything as worse than 'meh', if only due to personal standards.
What i have to walk everywhere now oh man.....it's a good thing that once you hit level 50 you don't really need to travel as much when you're leveling up and there is always a vendor in the main hubs.
So there I am, minding my own business grinding my day away in the never ending grind that is now called STO.
I fill up my inventory, go to sell in the dilithium store(Hanger tab) like I have for the last 2 years, and there it is. No sell button. I logged onto another character to check, and lo and behold, no sell button again!
How can this be I wonder, alt+tabbing to check the patch notes. Nope. Nothing stated there.
Then it dawned on me. Of course they'd take it out.
It was to the players BENEFIT, unlike some things that have been broken and not fixed for the last two years that are essential to game play((But to Cryptics benefit.)), they fixed the rather benign bug first. And stealth fixed it at that.
This the only game I play I actually hate logging in to. But like a crack addict, its Star Trek and I need my fix, although I haven't spent a dime on it since the farce they call Season 7 introduced us to the Wow-like grind.
Needless to say, I lost interest in grinding anymore of my day away.
Shame on you Cryptic. Your just making it harder for people to want to play...
Had it occurred to you that simple bugs are a lot easier to fix and don't require the same commitment of systems/programmer/artist time than trivial ones?

How long will you continue to make excuses for Cryptic, with bugs that are several YEARS old, still not being fixed? I understand bug-fixing takes time (i've been involved in a few game productions of my own). But YEARS? I don't even know where to begin, when it comes to how badly that situation is, when you can't fix bugs that are so old.
Or maybe it's just that they have given up on fixing the older bugs, and are content with fixing any "new" bugs that crop up instead?
FYI--the vendors that sell an item type are the ones that pay 50% for it. Everywhere else gets you 40%... They pay you 40% to discard junk straight from inventory. If you want the extra bump to 50% save it for a trip. Not hard.

Tholian Red Alert bug that a ton of people experience each and everyday should not be taking so long to get fixed I am sorry their is either incompetence or lack of caring about that major bug. Their are also a lot of other bugs that have been around for a long time that still are not fixed and I predict wont be fixed any time soon. Why are bugs that are annoying as hell taking so long wile bugs that don't annoy anyone and actually make people happy get fixed so fast in comparison?
Their was major bugs for some of the dominion missions that prevented the missions from being completed and a lot of people (myself included) experienced and those bugs had been present for a long time and then not long before they added upgraded Dominion gear to the Lobi store was those bugs fixed. This shows their bug fixing priorities. Fix it if we plan on making money from something and the bug would impact it. Take forever to fix something that does not directly impact something we make money on.
As Bort clarified, this was not working as intended, and it was fixed today. The thread is now devolving so this would be a good time to close it before warnings or infractions need to be handed out.

It's just not as convenient as the dilithium tab.
I do like my "call trade freighter" button to get quick exchange access myself, so I understand.

so freaking annoying now....*changes to tuffli*
Exactly! Things that aren't important or game breaking get fixed but the hundreds of thousands of more serious bugs continue to go ignored.

you still can you just have to know who to go to. Simple rules, never recycle and never go to a ferengi.

Did you get vendor rates, or Replicator rates?
Dilithium Store - Ship Equipment - Hangar tab, then Sell used to give vendor rates. It was pretty clearly an exploit/bug.

I never had a ship with a hangar. The hangar tab was the only one with the ability to sell?
That's correct. However, you could access that part of the store and sell to it even if you didn't own/weren't in a ship with a hangar.
