Out of all the Lox Box ships we've had so far, which in your opinion was the superior lock box ship?

In my opinion, Jem'Hadar Attack Ship and Cardasian Galor Class Cruiser are the toughest ones. Good Jem pilots are pretty awesome sight (though not when they're firing on me) when theyr're just coming and killing you. Galor is just horrible thing to kill in right hands.

Galor is a good all round cruiser made even better because of the spiral waves. Besides that, there are better damage cruisers and better tanking cruisers. Galor also loses some cred because it can't fit heavy cannons which a turn rate of 10 on a cruiser practically begs for. Also you can end up limiting yourself to spiral wave builds which makes for a boring predictable combat experience.

I hear the jem hadar bug is best damage dealing escort in the game and that's hard to dispute. It certainly isn't the toughest/tankiest lockbox ship though.

That award goes to the Recluse if you set it up for an engineering/science build heavy on heals.

The Bug is a lockbox ship if you still have the lockboxes it came from (Cardassian?).

But yes, until the next promo/rerelease Bugs are rare enough that they can be considered Exchange-exclusive. It is my dream to one day acquire a bug through a lucky lockbox and then sell it for amazing amounts of EC.

At current prices (400m? Or was it 250m?) A single Bug is enough to get several Lobi ships, including the Galor, D'Kora, Mobius, Recluse, Jammie Dread, with enough left over to fully gear them out from just the Exchange.

Finding a Bug in a box right now is the closest an STO player can get to winning the lottery.

Bugs were in a new fleet doff pack for a limited time. You can't get bugs at all now aside from the exchange.
My favorite lockbox ship is the D'kora by far.

I don't know which one's the best. But the only one I've ever been remotely interested in is the Galor. Mostly because of the spiral wave disruptors. And I kinda always liked the Cardassians.

My current favorite Lockbox/Lobi ship are the Mobius and Wells. I don't own a Wells yet, but the two ships just look SO pretty, and different from the typical Star Trek aesthetic.

By comparison with nearly every other ship in the Fed line except maybe the Saber, they look like "hot rods", and the visual effect when they activate their console gimmicks is priceless.

The Klingon version also looks pretty bitchin' as well though the aggressive stylings of most Klink vessels makes them look less unique.

Also, the two work with a cool Lobi equipment set (Temporal Warfare), which none of the other Lockbox ships have yet.

The term lockbox ship seems to have been generally extended to include the lobi and doff pack drops (Jem Dread, Jem Bug, Tuffli, Mobius, Recluse, Krenn), since they are all available in boxed form.

The only one I really use is the Tuffli, which is great for doffing and reputation.

The Wells in the hands of compitnet sci captain anti going down with out a subnuke......in some case two subnuke's....anyone whos ran into lacus in Kerrat knows what i mean. Personally found the bug ship disapointing sure its got ok dps an can turn like a spining top but useing the 5 tac slot for tac console is not the best way to go an that low shield cap with only 1 sci slot........so i fly the breen ship instead.......tis scary that my average dps an hps is up by a lot when compaired to the bug....think i might just be pilot error tho.....piloting the bug is kinda stressful
