New Player, looking for . . .

Greetings. As a very experienced gamer, I am well aware of how important a group / community is to your experience in any given game. Thus it is with STO, I am enjoying the game thus far, but I realize that my continued enjoyment will largely be determined by the company I keep.

So, I'm looking for the right place. Fit is very important. I'm looking for a group to play with that is first and foremost very welcoming of noobs. Yes, I am a noob. I admit it. There are many things I don't understand, and I need someone / somewhere I can ask those questions. I'm currently not very interested in PvP, and while that may change, it just doesn't excite me right now.

I'm not looking for a community of immature individuals, whatever their age may be. I'm not looking for a drama filled mess. I want to enjoy the game with people who know how to have a good time and like to play well, but understand that in the end, it is just a game.

Edit: I forgot to say that I am not at all interested in role play communities. At all. I respect that some folks enjoy that, but be assured that I do not.

About me . . . I've played many, many games. From Netmech in the mid 90's to now, I've played a truly ludicrous number of online games across a couple different genres. Many of them I became very, very good at. Notably, I led an endgame raiding guild in EQ2 for about 4 years, as well as a very competitive Tribes / Tribes 2 team.

Hi - I belong to a Mid-Sized Fleet who is active in multiple time zones, on TS, and off. We have starbases on both factions, but toons in both Factions is not required. We do PVP, but it is not required. We enjoy STFs, but also have many that enjoy the story content, and the foundry.

msg me in game @franc275 and we can talk further. We're pretty casual, and usually are running various fleet teams, doing various events at any given time. Depending on what time zone you are in, I can always invite you to tag along on a team event to see our play style.

Delirium Tremens could be the right fit for you. We have a mature roster with both casual and dedicated players, we run events or frequent mission runs through the night. We make sure to go out of our way for new players, help them, show them missions and get their goals and builds set up well.

I invite you to check out my fleet, the Divine Protectorate. We are a gaming community very active in STO. We are a small group of people who enjoy playing together and having fun. We always do our best to provide a drama free gaming experience, as it really is a game, and we are all here to have fun.

We typically are on in the evenings in the US timezone, and fairly active on the weekends. We run a fleet website, and have a Vent server to help people get more acquainted with everyone. We are a small fleet (10 active members or so) and certainly looking to expand.

Hi Guys

Apologies for hijacking another thread but I've not been on the forums much and Im only allowed to post replies.

I'm a 26 year old Irish guy living in Scotland (GMT timezone) I've been playing STO since it was launched on and off, I've just capped my 2nd VA character and have been discovering theres much more fleet oriented content and multiplayer content which I've missed in my travels.

Ideally I'd just like a fleet to contribute towards, take part in group play and pvp and donate to projects etc.

I've been playing mmo's for quite a few years now and know what to expect, not looking for a hardcore guild just a friendly environment and fun people to game with.

Good morning. I hope you will take a moment and consider the Vulcan Kolinahr Fleet. We are a small but great fleet. We are easy going, dedicated and friendly. We all come from different backgrounds and have different ways of doing things, but that?s part of what makes us great.

Anyone in our fleet is happy to help others when needed, in almost any aspect of the game and in some cases RL. We have a fleet TeamSpeak3 server that we use for voice chat not just in-game but also to hang out as well and get to know each other better (not required, just available). Many of us are located on the East Coast and Midwest (USA), Canada, England and now even parts of the Middle East.

Although I say our fleet is dedicated, we also realize that everyone has lives as well, so when you need to take the time, you don't need to be concerned about losing your position within the fleet due to RL too. We do not discriminate against such things because we understand that sometimes real life issues and problems can take time to resolve, and that some time is needed to sort things out.

So please, think about joining and moving with us into 2410 armed with the best Intel, the most specific and targeted body of knowledge about STO, and a group of Fleet-mates who will be there with you in the crunch. Our Starbase is Tier 3 across the board with the Transwarp Gate upgrade currently in progress and we have started making inroads into restocking provisions for our Tier 1 Embassy. We also provide commodities to all for donation to the projects.

Hello We are United Federation. We have been around since 2002 and know star trek online and other games like amada and Elite Forces. We have 75 members total from UK, USA, and Canada. We have members like myself that are good at STF, PVP, and PVE. we could always use a good PVP player to teach our fleet. We use Xfire and TeamSpeak to keep up with fleets. Some times We do not even get in game because we are talking to each other and just having fun. We have a good site that our members post to and report in with a roll call so we know they are active.
