Fleet Corsair - Bug with customization

So finally saved up 2k zen to get this baby. Go into customise to change by bridge to my usual layout.


Change cost - 1500 ZEN!

Not content with gouging us by not making our Fleet FDC a remake of a top tier ship that'd get us a 75% discount on fleet modules, they expect us to BUY THE NON-FLEET VERSION IN ORDER TO ACCESS CUSTOMISATION OPTIONS?

    This is a bug that the team is aware of. I don't have an ETA for resolution, unfortunately.

    Of course not, it a KDF bug. We all know those are not important. I been wait for over month for my bug new content omega 5 customer unlocks to really unlock. No matter that I spent the dilhtium, grind omega marks.

    Yet I still missing items I should have.

    that bug has been around since Season 6... don't count on a quick fix.

    Corsair means KDF ship right?

    Then you can also be happy that the default KDF Bridge, that you can't swap out of, is missing the Viewscreen.


    i finnally had enough of it last weekend and bend over, paid another 1500 Zen for yellow windows, another ship texture and the ability to swap my bridge ... but it was the Fleet Scourge Retrofit for me

    It should be a really easy fix. Depending on how it's handled, either change one flag on it, or otherwise copy a bit of code from the data for one of the ships into the other. It's a small oversight in creating the new ship but can snowball as more fleet retrofits are added if not addressed. don't get me wrong, I know what it can be like when successive dev teams have built more and more TRIBBLE onto an engine that it was never designed to handle, and one bugfix for something recent breaks some obscure bit of legacy code, but really can it be that much of a conflict if you flag the ship as unlocking the regular corsair costumes? Hell, since we already have to pay full price even if we own the original ship, due to the retrofits not being of T5 ships, how about taking the easy route out and giving us a break by giving the T3 ship for free to anyone who buys the fleet version for 2000 zen?

    I've never even seen any other texture for the Fleet Corsair then the Orion it come with.

    How do you access other textures?

    It's the other windows, and the option to change bridges that are locked out, but they all fall under the ship customisation screen. This viewscreenless Bird Of Prey bridge absolutely sucks for a carrier. The only benefit of it is that I swear my character runs just that little bit faster to get to the turbolifts and away from this nightmare.

    All the Klingon Bridges suck for an Orion Ship, none look right, thier too harsh for Orion Hedonists.

    In absence of unique Orion bridge, I use the KDF cruiser bridge pack from Z-Store on my Corsair, there is one bridge that is greenish. :)
    It's not the same like a proper bridge, but felt for me kinda' odd to use the red bridges on the green Orion ships.

    I'm not paying for a bridge pack that is only slightly less wrong for my ship. Right now I use the Kor Carrier bridge, but that's it. I don't really use it anyways, it just doesn't fit the ship at all.

    I like the red bridges. Largely because I permanently have my monitor at 3400k due to my eyes being hypersensitive to colours of light in the <550nm range (and also sensitive to the <400nm range, meaning I need some serious UV protection on my glasses, because I directly see ultraviolet light)

    funny how fast the fixed the andorian ship but can't seem to fix this bug after 6 months.
    Should I start posting again after all this time?

    It's why I have specially tinted glasses just to see in the regular colour spectrum.

    And yes, obviously they need to fix every little Fed bug ASAFP.
    Maybe it'll be fixed if it affects the Fleet Kumari when it comes out.

    I can't change the bridge on the fleet Scourge and I think it's safe to say that it's the same for the non fleet Scourge. Those ships have been available since season 6 launch!

    Of course not. Out of curiosity, do other people with the Fleet Corsair also have a bridge with a missing view screen? I just want to make sure I'm not the only one.

    It's lame that when my toon sits in the Captain's chair on the bridge he's just looking at an empty wall.

    I guess FED spies must have boarded the ship and stolen the big screen TV. :rolleyes:

    Until theres is an Orion Bridge I'm not worried about the Bug, because none of the Klingon Bridges look right and I avoid the Bridge When ever possible.

    Four months, and I still have a sad.

    Especially as they fixed the EXACT SAME BUG for the B'rel a week ago, where it required the purchase of another ship to customise it.

    Was it SO hard for them to press ctrl-c and then ctrl-v to apply the same fix to the Fleet Corsair?

    What bridge do you use? There's one BoP bridge - the basic one that we got when we started as KDF at lvl 20 that never had the viewscreen to begin with.

    Yeah, the only bridge we're allowed to use on Fleet corsairs is the buggy BoP bridge that lacks a screen.

    Just reread the OP post and realized that the reason I have no trouble with changing the bridge, is that I already bought the normal Corsair, not for that purpose, but so I could use it as a Captain rank months and months ago.

    Now all I need is a bridge worth choosing. I'm using one of the Carrier bridges for now..

    Yeah, I only ever really bothered buying T5 ships like the Marauder, never lower tier ones unless I was going for specific universal consoles.

    Never thought about the view screen (i usually run below decks when on my ship), pretty sure I've never seen one on my corsair, possibly the marauder too.

    Plus theres the whole not being able to kit bash the ship at all or simply add colour schemes/markings to the exterior.

    Vet skin? Nope.

    I'm kinda hoping they give the KDF some love when they eventually get around to doing the Neg'Var redo.
    Patch up and improve some other KDF ships at the same time would be a nice idea.

    One of the reasons I bought the Daciot and Corsair is that's an account wide unlock, so I could use them on alts. Alts I never actually got around to doing.
