Who would you like to act out something? (List your top 3)

Brent Spiner

Patrick Steward

William Shatner

(and I have to mention Walter Koenig]
Hopefully I'll come back from my break; this break is fun; I play intellectual games.

I hope STO get's better ...

    for STO?

    first

Q and Worf because they are already inside the game WITH TEXT.
    Give them their Voice!

Then replace the bad Quinto EMH in the Tutorial with a proper Robert Picardo, the text was obviously written for him, not for some odd Spock EMH variant.

After that i don't really care, i'm happy with any bit of Voice Acting from Trek Stars i can get.

Preferably people that we have not heard anything from in a while.

i'm not so sure that continuing with the these voice over missions is such a good idea right now. the novelty of hearing a familiar voice is nice, but the shortcomings in the writing and directing has been pretty evident all along, and it's starting to get old. i think they should try bringing in some actual trek writers to come up with some truly interesting and clever story missions. if it goes well, then they could combine real writers with good voice overs and finally bring some more of a real trek feel to the game.
    Fleet: Stargate-Union
    Pizza: Pepperoni

I agree with the basic premise of this. While I don't have a major problem with the writing, the cost of hiring Trek actors is pretty high for 10 minutes or so of dialogue. Also, the apparent lack of a director to ensure that VAs deliver their lines sincerely really reduces the impact of hearing a familiar voice.

That said, in a dream world where money isn't an issue, I'd like to hear:

    1) Tim Russ

    2) Jeffery Combs

    3) Claudia Black-Schiffer (What? She wasn't in Trek? Who cares, she's a hottie and is awesome in every project she graces with her presence! :D)

Why do that when you could other from cast to play the other Tutorial NPCs?

But mostly I just want them to stop using their current (and painful) voice actors. At least, I think they are actors. It may be a Voice-To-Speech program. It is hard to say at times.

I'd love to have Scott Bakula return as Captain Archer. And Jeffery Combs too (preferably as Weyoun).

"Critics who say that the optimistic utopia Star Trek depicted is now outmoded forget the cultural context that gave birth to it: Star Trek was not a manifestation of optimism when optimism was easy. Star Trek declared a hope for a future that nobody stuck in the present could believe in. For all our struggles today, we haven’t outgrown the need for stories like Star Trek. We need tales of optimism, of heroes, of courage and goodness now as much as we’ve ever needed them."

You are aware that the Q ingame is actually Q Junior (Q and Q's Son from Voyager) and not the John De Lancie Q right?

Wil Wheaton. Perhaps surprisingly, he's actually done quite a bit of voice acting, understands MMOs, and isn't that bad at what he does.

But if he has to play some variant of his character on TNG, then he should be some sort of badass grizzled veteran mirror Wesley with lots of cheesy, Branniganesque one-liners--basically, his scenes would play out similarly to his appearances in The Guild, with some Shatner satire thrown in for good measure.
