I don't know when this happened, but I noticed today that a number of science abilities had their shared cooldowns removed.

The following four abilities used to share the same cooldown with each other:
Tachyon Beam
Energy Siphon
Tyken's Rift
Gravity Well

Now only Tachyon Beam and Energy Siphon share a cooldown with each other, and only Tyken's Rift and Gravity Well share a cooldown with each other.

This means I can use Tachyon Beam with Tyken's Rift now! I feel like a 5 year old who just got a bucket of candy! This is SWEET!

Thank you so much! It was about time those shared cooldowns got broken up! Thank you!!!

Someone give Al Rivera a hug. He deserves it!

Again I don't know when this happened, it might be old news for some people, but I am just ecstatic about this right now!

    Please also note how due to mass nerfing how useless all these skills STILL are...

    It may say they do, but Energy Syphon and Tachyon Beam don't share a cooldown.
    Energy Syphon does share with the Breen Energy Syphon however.

    I have never seen someone use Tachyon Beam or Energy Siphon in eSTFs, and I have played 1000s.

    This happened ages ago, but it was quite welcome back then. Great for my various ES/Tyken drain setups.

    I use Tachyon Beam to great effect, however I can't really see it because I use Tractor Beam with it. I see some people use Energy Siphon in STF's. One guy was using it on the Tactical Cube the last time I did Infected. I don't play elites though.
