Is there anything useful you can do with a bound doff you don't need anymore?
I have several bound greens from when I was lower level and put them on active space duty. I know they can't be sold, can't be given to another char, etc. Are there any options other than dismissing them?

Pointing at them and laughing in the hopes that somewhere they exist in a Tron or Reboot like reality and they get the sads.
The doff grinder will take bound doffs, but not all of them. At least the ones you get from Lt Ferra won't be taken.
The officer exchange assignments in Cardassian space will take them, unless they're civilians. They don't take any civilians, bound or unbound.
If you have civilians from Ferra, you're stuck with them, and can only dismiss them to be rid of them.
The emergency *dept* holograms cannot be input at the doff grinder as well and don't show as inputs for the officer exchange missions either. Essentially they seem to be as useless as low level bound civilians in that regard.

do what us KDF captains do.. shove them out of the airlock
I have had to get rid of so many green doffs this way, I refuse to spend the dilithium to get some (most likely) cruddy blue guy.
Both KDF and Feds have a mission that lets you turn them in to fleet command for being a "changeling infiltrator". IIRC the KDF version requires you to kill them first but enh... minor detail.

But on Fed side, it's extremely rare. I've seen it maybe once or twice total.

You can volunteer them for the "manual labor" doff assignments in Cardassian space. Get rid of 5 civilians for 500 recruitment CXP and some minor rewards.
Like the officer exchange missions, it is necessary to do the proper mission chain first.

But the reward for that assignment is so low you're better off dismissing the doffs and using the assignment slot for any number of common assignments.

I've highlited, bolded, and underlined the relevant portion of the original quote. That's a lot of recruitment cxp.
For all white DOff with no 'bad' traits, I got 451 Dev, 5 dil on success and
1773 Dev, 125 dil on crit. I believe you do get more for green.
Just as added info, I started doing Recruit Additional Labor missions to get rid of those green bound DOffs, (also clear out some prisoners and civilians), but despite the warning text, it unfortunately does not remove green from your roster, so I still couldn't get rid of them that way. It did clear out the commons, tho.

Lol, I'll take that as a no...
Excellent! The assignment to exchange them at the doff grinder wouldn't take them as inputs so I assumed none would.
