Im finding Whispers in the dark impossibly hard...

Im a RA Lower Half 5 and I sjust started the Terradome mission but the very first mission is to destroy the impostor ship of the U.S.S Poseiden and I cant even put a dent in it. Is it just me? All my weapons are XI plama cannons with Starship Plasma Energy Weapons researched in my skills. Even in the mission just before I burned through Cubes and Undine ships in a few seconds with rapid fire. But I'm even getting killed almost straight away when I set full power on Defense and activate Rotate Shield III and Emergency Power to Shields. Any tips welcome, do I just need more people to tackle this mission?

    That's a 5 person Taskforce. It's designed for a dedicated team. It can't be done as a solo mission.

    STF = Special Task Force, means you need a full team for this mission and Infected, The Cure, Khitomer Accord, Into The Hive (when its out) and Children of Kahn (might be a normal mission if not a STF not sure, need gozer to confirm when hes ready to give out detail on them two)

    Thanks guys, I dont' feel so bad now. Only prob now so is that none of my friends play ST:O :P

    Yep! Join a Fleet too. There are many Fleets that have weekly STF and Fleet Action runs for its members.

    Funnily enough, in my Mirror Deep Space Science Vessel, by summoning 5 sets of holographic ships and a fleet support ship, I managed to get past the first stage, then promptly died on the Vila Battleships.

    Holy TRIBBLE Science is OP.

    EDIT: Woops, just realized this is from 2007. Heheh...

    actually I've been finding that the ground mission is horribly glitched and too random.

    for example, it keeps on spawning like 8-10 enemies at each computer console that the engineers are supposed to hack. and picture one person at each port, trying to defend their engineers against that many enemies!! And it wasn't even on hard difficulty....

    another times it's at more manageable numbers but if any one of us dies it's game over. my team kept on trying the mission like 7 times and we barely got to scratch the surface of the mission on "Mysterious Terradome".

    and my entire team is at vice admiral level, btw.
