How far we've come

Here is some STO Beta footage, special thanks to one of my closest friends and one of the awesome SF leaders: Colonel Gans.oh, who never gave himself recognition for the video or his support to the game.

It shows how far the game has come from then to now.

ALL you Captains who was there for beta and especially the last day of the beta when the Borg invaded ESD, reminisce on those beta days.

ALL you Captains out there who might have missed those days, feel free to watch.

ALL those Captains who still complain about the game, witness the "then" and "now" of STO.

The song was inserted at the time of beta but, man, it sure fits.

Just wanted to post this because it seems to inspire me when I watch it then play STO.

Thank you Devs, Cryptic, and everyone who has made STO what it is now and here is to the future of STO.

    Wow, Beta had some things that were truely epic that have been lost in development like a more proportionately accurate DS9, DS9 should dwarf the Oddy not the other way around... and the borg should totally invade ESD again, it would add a little more flavour to the game :D Maybe we could even have some actual space races too of course not escort vs cruisers although perhaps have a version where you can disable your opponent :P

    So many things that need fixing and so many ideas that would make the game more interesting :)

    Hell. Borg invasion of ESD would be cool.

    I heard that at one point, a Dev flew a Borg Sphere to ESD and everyone was trying to kill him. Having something like that would be epic.

    beta was awesome, watching the game develop into what it is now.

    Borg invasion would be cool, and the races would give us a reason to wear those race suits from VOY.

    Good, bad or indifferent STO has come a long way and I can't wait to see what STO is like in a year, 2 years, or 3 more years.

    Missed the Borg event because I had to get up early for school. :(

    Still, my memories of Open Beta are fond. :cool:
