Aside from the obvious reason of PWE wanting us to spend more money - can anyone - preferably a DEV - tell me what prevents us from being able to transfer ALL of the above between our characters???
It seems ludicrous that we can transfer most everything else between our characters on our account and yet this obvious revenue ploy prevents us.
PWE - we are still going to spend money. You certainly are not going to broke anytime soon.
zen is already shared across your account, energy credits you can transfer between characters through your account bank. Dilithium can be shared across your account between characters through use of the dilithium exchange.
I think there are probably other threads explaining how to move dilithium between your own characters using that. It's a little intimidating at first using it, so only move a small amount first till you get more confidant at how it works. Best of luck
I don't recall if you can transfer credits through the account bank without first spending the 1,000Zen.
As for a "obvious revenue ploy", even if the 1,000Zen is a bit steep just to transfer EC, of all the things they could have beat us over the head with that's tiny. You are getting the full game _pretty_ much for free.
Being able to transfer raw dilithium between character you don't want to play on right this second would be nice. The downside is, it would open the door to someone having dozens of level 1 characters and farming near unlimited amounts. Which defeats the reasons the 8K a day limit was imposed in the first place.

Just buy an unused retail version of STO, use the key to get a 30 day subscription, enjoy your account bank in addition to at least 15.000 Zen worth of unlocks which you get to keep when retruning to F2P/Silver after the 30 days expire.
Considering that basic retail versions are available at prices around $0.99, there shouldn't be anyone not able to afford it...
I usually just have my wealthy toons buy gear for the poor toons, and then I mail it to myself. By the time they're at Vice Admiral, they can usually pay their own way.
Dilithium goes on the exchange where all characters can access it.
Zen is account wide so whachu talking bout, Willis?
The only thing better than a rant is a fail rant. Greedy Cryptic indeed.

The question is unanswerable, since they're all transferrable between your characters.

I've never actually tried moving Dililthium via the Dilithium Exchange, presumably you put it up for a price so high that no one will buy it, then log in to you other character, and take down the offer?

This character is why I don't play my Romulan any more. Tovan Khev is NOT my BFF! Get him off my bridge!

You can even take the offer down with the same character. Just use the second character to withdraw the balance.
Why not have the character you want to transfer the credits too put a cheap item on the exchange for a ridiculous amount? One small hypo for 100,000 credits for example. Then have the character you want to transfer the credits from buy it. If you really want to keep that small hypo, then you can always mail it back to them. And if someone else buys it instead, then what the heck, your second character got the credits you wanted them to have anyways.
Get a sub for a month or, as others have suggested, get a box version. The 30 days sub gives you an account bank. You keep it after going back to silver. You also get 500 Zen when you are subscribed.
Now using the exchange for transferring EC. I used it and it works, but it can be difficult to find your own order. Use a 'weird' price.

I was looking at this and in the UK I cannot find anything for less than about ?8-9 ($16-20 thereabouts?), vast difference between UK and US... for unused anyway.
Personally I would be after the red matter capacitor...
As other have already posted, I'll just reiterate.
Dilithium can be done via posting it like 50 dil per 1 zen and then withdraw. If you manage to sell it at that price ( unlikely since current price is 130dil to 1 zen ) then lucky you the balance will be in the account level and you can withdraw it with ANY character. What I usually do is I sell my Zen (if I have any) and leave the balance IN the account level and withdraw as I needed.
EC transfer can be done via account bank (sub for 1 month or buy a box, either way you are coming out ahead in the long run) OR post something cheap like a hypo for insane money and buy it with your rich character. There is no exchange fee so you are not losing any money.
Zen is account wide, but some items that you bought may not be account wide (i.e. Fleet modules and keys) BUT you can mail those to other chara. Also the ships are account wide (in case you didn't know) which is handy if you play a lot of alts (like me).

Take down a sale offer on the dilithium exchange from another character to transfer dilithium.
Use the search button.
