If season 8 is to bring the KDF faction up to the levels of content the Fed side has then it looks like 2013 will be a good year for the game, if they are releasing a Romulan faction and not bothering with the KDF faction then it will be a bad year.
Hopefully Cryptic is finally listening to us and both KDF and Romulan fans will get their much waiting content.
Support the Game by Supporting the KDF, equality and uniqueness for all factions!

They are Never going to be able to 'catch up' on the Klingon side, as long as They keep adding stuff to the Fed side.

The number of people that can't seem to process that around here is seriously difficult to believe. Like they're going to just stop developing the FEDs until a minority of KDF players decide at their union meeting that they can stop whining because they have "enough" non-canon ships and story missions no one plays now. It's completely insane reasoning.
I'd like to see them expanded so they start properly from level 1 and dropping having to start as a FED. I guess that probably comes with more story missions I can skip to get to the Jem'Hadar and Breen stuff. I want about three dozen new costume options. Other than that, the faction's done.

Also note he said "resolve factionS" with an "s"...The only Faction needing more resolving right now is the KDF...Unless they're resolving them and making a new one...and resolving it at the same time...
What would be the point of adding more subscriber benefits and "some" as in more than one, Cryptic designed ships all in May? If these were C-Store or lockbox they'd be out prior to then...
If its not a full Romulan faction or at least a partial one they need to clarify soon instead of fake hype. Another "Hey here's something that leans heavily toward this train of thought" bait and switch to "Oh we never 'SAID' it would be X" trick will do more harm than good.
Partial faction or starting a Romulan and joining a KDF or Fed side would also be bad, especially without advanced notice.
Also, note that the Romulan Reputation was changed to "New Romulus Reputation" specifically differentiating it from Romulans at-large...
Also he said in Red Alert that Delta would probably come before Gamma Quadrant...what better way to get a new faction more races than to goto the Delta Quadrant where one NPC race known to be allied with some of them resides...*cough* Hirogen*cough*
Romulans, Remans, Aliens, then...what? They've said Hirogen and Borg (aside from Liberated Borg, hey another Lifer Benefit for Romulan Faction!) wouldn't be in any future Romulan faction...
Let's pretend they're gonna do the dream scenario:
They've said no new faction til the KDF have 1-20 and a tutorial...
Let's say they make 1-20 and a tutorial AND a new Faction with 1-50 (keeping in mind that we'll also get a Featured Episode series making it around 20 shared missions across the factions from those alone).
An "Update" of that magnitude would require at least 2 months of time on Tribble. Possibly invite-only beta testing on Redshirt...(another potential Lifetime Perk could be Beta access).
So I guess Feb will be the month where we start finding out more details since testing would have to begin in mid-early March for a realistic launch in May.

Would you play Romulan? If they filled Klingons out would you play them? Will you just goto them for the content and return to your FED/KDF? Would you abandon all hope and roll a full-time Romulan?

So now the KDF still needs more love but we are going to add the Romulean empire to the mix too something tells me it will be as bad as the KDF launch. In other words little content. But I interpreted this as also being the release of Fitured eps. with the return of Sala. I would also think New Romulus and D'tan and his people will still go ageist Sala
Fascinating! Better stock up on Romulan, Reman and other choice space items to properly trick out Birds of Prey, Warbirds and more. Mogai/Norexan/Valdore-class Warbirds will they be the tier 3 Cruisers?

I'm thinking this is simply a lead in to a Romulan Featured Series, which leads me to a thought;
What if Season 8, for lack of a better term, actually brings the KDF up to par with the Federations, in so far as being able to level from 1-50. And that this Featured Series, if that is what it is, is the lead in to the Romulan Faction being released in Season 9.
Do I honestly think this is what is going to happen? No, not really. But I can dream, and it would be REALLY cool if it were true.

I would be happy as long as they would show some effort in giving content to klingons then I would say the romulan faction would be great but the state of the game is that Fed will be the most content. KDF will be left in the junk heap and the romulans will be used as the cash cow for Cryptic as they seel all the ships in the new improved rommie store where you need 600000000000000000000000000000000000000000000 dilitihium to buy the MK I Ship

not sure if the romulan is a playable faction whether i would roll one when i started the game a year ago then yeah but now due to rl issues tine is limited and i'm lucky ti even do a elite stf lately. So changes to from a two faction to a three faction doesnt excite me any more
