1100 Days today...

I coincidentally noticed that I am subscribed for 1100 days as of today (as a lifer since the end of the first year).
Kind of strange because before 1000 it always was a big deal as a milestone achievment to make anothr 100 days.

So it has come and will be gone without any fanfare whatsoever this time.

It would be nice if there were 250 days milestones in the future, or 3 years, 4 years and so on....

    No, they announced at 1000 days that this was to be the current end of Vet rewards

    something new may come in its place

    Obviously not or people would start having them right now.

    That's the reason I almost "missed" my 1100 milestone, because it is nothing special anymore.

    They suggested a new subscriber benefit in may.

    im sure they will still do little rewards and bonuses and things but it will be from time to time with no set dates.

    I have my suspicions around May. I'm expecting Romulans as a paid new faction, which is free for Gold members...


    Just a hunch, but the timing's interesting if nothing else.

    considering that the Neverwinter Open Beta counts as a LTA benefit... that new benefit in may really can mean ANYTHING.

    How about a free ship or toon or costume slot every 180 days? Those are more useful to me more than anything else. Make it an option.

    I believe the current vet reward system is finished. If they keep the current system, then they will add more veteran rewards to the earlier ones. After all, any veteran reward past 1000 days is effectively just another lifetime subscription perk since very few subscribers would qualify for it.

    They could change the veteran reward system to a veteran reward store. Every month subscribed and every 1500 Zen purchased and transferred to STO will give a veteran token. The current veteran rewards would be on the veteran store so F2Pers and former subscribers can get them. You could purchase something like a hat for 1 veteran token or a ship for 12 veteran tokens.

    Cryptic could easily keep a Vet reward coming out every 100 days just by dishing out more of their tiny stat modifiers. They already have the XP modifiers just keep bumping it up.
    Of course the more welcome rewards would be additional Android / Vet Bridge Officers or Duty Officer packs.

    More inventory/bank/account slots are always a good veteran reward benefit.

    I agree with that big time. Some free bank slots would make me pretty happy.

    Hi All,
    I am a Lifetime Sub, have been on and off STO for a while now, I noticed that my Veteran status in game is only on 700 day and wondered why it is not showing the full 1000 days, and I have not received my nice shiny new Heavy Cruiser .. any idea's ? I have checked my status in my accounts page and it shows 1108 ..

    Any insight into this you caould share would be appreciated .

    The 1000 Day ship is a Destroyer. If you want a Heavy Cruiser, just go and purchase one. It ought to be free if you haven't already gotten a ship for your Commander Rank.

    If you want to get the Destroyer, go to the Starbase. Head up to the Ship Requisitions Officer and there is an option to receive a Token for the Chimera. Grab it and then go the Ship List and trade the Token for the vessel. I assume the klingon version works the same way.

    As you can probably tell I'v been away far too long .. Destroyer yes thats the one ..
    I shall get myself down to starbase and grab it as soon as the maintenance is over ..

    Not fully appreciated by LTS customers when they first bought their subscriptions early in the 21st century was that due to a bad database decision by a long dead programmer they would never progress past the 9999 day veteran status....

    I've got 99,999 problems, but a Veteran rollover ain't one.
    Former moderator of these forums. Lifetime sub since before launch. Been here since before public betas. Foundry author of "Franklin Drake Must Die".

    All Lifetime subscribers are Gold members.

    I think that at 1100 we should be able to get the stuff that takes for ever like the MACO suit, any of those ships that you need 800 Lobo to get.

    I already got my 1100 day vet rewards. A Guramba Siege destroyer perk that makes me come out of siege mode whenever Eng. Team is applied, either by me or someone else.

    Bridge officers you can only slot if you transwarp to starbase system, got to bridge, hop in your shuttle, and sacrifice a chicken.

    I got a bonus on my 1000 day vet reward as well. My chimera will usually, but not always (it's a special surprise, you see) not be able to come out of Tactical mode.

    I got special chat perks as well. When I change toons, I have to click 3 different things to get my fleet channel back.

    I got a special invisible except for eyes and ears rumulan boff that I paid good dil/fleet cred for. He's useful and creepy.

    Oh, I also got a special STF bonus ability! I can, at random, make all my abilities and weapons go on a 2 minute cooldown by pressing a special key combination. Not sure what it is, cuz it's a super secret stealth perk.

    And finally, as an 1100 day vet, I can go to Andoria, beam to the surface, and talk to NPC's who tell me about a duelling system that has not been implemented for at least 1100 days. :)

    Who says being a gold member and paying $14.99 a month for over 3 years doesn't have it's perks?!?

    So i am also a lifetime subscriber and am wondering now that this game is F2P i wonder if there was anything given to those that were lifetime subscribers for this?

    The May expansion is supposed to have some valuable perks for subscribers, but the devs are being tight lipped about it.
