Are there plans to re-integrate the old diplomatic missions into any sensible way to play the game? As of now, their DXP-rewards are ridiculously low as they still date from a time before the DOff-system.
I use the diplomatic missions for "Explore Strange New Worlds." Warp in to replicate some junk for a planet is just as boring as the regular exploration missions, but at least it doesn't take as long.
I liked the "first contact" mission I got after reaching ambassador...but it's apparently not repeatable.

I was primarily refering to the diplomatic "story" missions, e.g., "Ancestral Sin", "Family Ties", or "Temple Offerings". Those are very neat missions but currently seem totally lost and without sensible rewards (10 DXP is virtually nothing). All I wanted to know, is whether Cryptic just wants to leave them as they are, or if they plan to incorporate them into the storyline with better rewards? (they are better than several "normal" combat story missions that pop to my mind)

I was also noticing that that the DXP was far too low on the missions to be practical. Why would anybody do those missions if we can get 20 times as much DXP from DOff missions?

The problem with this is that they ramped up the CXP for diplomacy when they merged it into the duty officer system, but forgot to ramp up the rewards for the previous missions.
I also would like to see Diplomacy get an overhaul. It was my favorite part of the game back in the day. Both the story missions the OP mentioned and other stuff too. Ahh well its apparently NOT a high priority for Cryptic, but IF enough players ask, maybe....
I want to see Commendation XP added to all of the missions... and to every new mission... in the form of optional objectives or otherwise.
