Is there any way to control the type (not the amount) of loot that drops?
In my space map, the player will scan formations that give off energy, so I'd like him to earn energy credits.
When he scans "anomalous readings", I'd like him to get certain types of data samples but not others.
I'd also like to do the opposite: require the player to turn something over to the NPC (like in the Diplomatic Investigations: "We need 10 Communications Arrays").
Note that you can sort of bake it into the mission by having something like 'we need 10 communication arrays!' and then you have a map where you have to walk over or assemble communication arrays.
It's not actual loot, but you can write the story that way.
(As an aside, the idea of taking exploration autogenerated missions and doff assignments into Foundry missions appeals to me.
