Ghost-buster set!

zahinderzahinder Member Posts: 2,382 Arc User
I think they should create a ground set around the Synchronic Proton Distortion Prototype Assault Rifle (the chaining antiproton thing you get from 'Spin the Wheel.')

Maybe some anti-drain set bonuses, and an armor effect that looks like a light gray jumpsuit.

:D
Campaign: The Fenwick Cycle NWS-DKR9GB7KH

Wicks and Things: NW-DI4FMZRR4 : The Fenwick merchant family has lost a caravan! Can you help?

Beggar's Hollow: NW-DR6YG4J2L : Someone, or something, has stolen away many of the Fenwicks' children! Can you find out what happened to them?

Into the Fen Wood: NW-DL89DRG7B : Enter the heart of the forest. Can you discover the secret of the Fen Wood?

I like it. :D Full set bonus needs to be a deployable landmine with a vacuum effect. :P

Before i got my MACO gear that weapon was actually my favourite Borg-buster. Two different energy types so you don't have to remodulate immediately.

When they throw in Bill Muray though I'm taking a walk out of the airlock without my EV suit.
This program, though reasonably normal at times, seems to have a strong affinity to classes belonging to the Cat 2.0 program. Questerius 2.7 will break down on occasion, resulting in garbage and nonsense messages whenever it occurs. Usually a hard reboot or pulling the plug solves the problem when that happens.

It's one of my favorite weapons, and if my captain doesn't use it you can be sure one of my away team will.

I'd generally like to see more interesting sets out there with flavor and fiddly elements...

Actually, the Enterprise uniform, colored khaki or gray (GB 2) works very well, especially if you want to do the Bill Murray (pants untucked) look!

Couple that with an Engineering kit that looks A LOT like the Proton Pack (don't remember the specific one though :/) and you're very close!

I remember seeing a group of people dressed (and named after) the Ghostbusters and actually looked the part, shortly before the First Anniversary.

Definitely among the Top Ten best STO theme character's I've seen. (The First was someone who made a Navi that was too convincing, long before Caitians were around).

Maybe they aren't seen around anymore since then cos they teamed up for a ground STF, forgot the rules and Crossed the streams, and every molecule in their bodies exploded at the speed of light? Or maybe Egon toon forgot to give them the heads-up this time? :P

I'm afraid I cannot endorse anything that would involve harming innocent ghosts. Can't we all just get along?

I love the land mine idea. Heh. Hadn't even thought of that. Man.

Proton area effect plus placate or confusion or something?

I've been calling this weapon the Ghostbuster Gun ever since I first got one! I keep it in my inventory on all my characters, you never know when a Devidian will show up! :P

It's actually a fairly useful weapon. Not as powerful as some, particularly set stuff, but the chaining exploit is handy, as is the fact it levels with you.

A landmine with a gravity well should replicate a ghost trap pretty well.

Add the Phase-Shifted Personal Shield from the same series as the set shield... the psionic damage resist is perfect for warding off STO's psychic ghostly enemies.

This is not Ghostbusters Online. ;)

Although that anti-psi equipment is just begging to be made into a set. It already has a gun and a shield, it just needs an armor. Or maybe use the Triolic Pattern Enhancer as the third part. Or the Ophidian Cane as the third/fourth part.

I'll note that there are some interesting psionic consumables in the Embassy -- ground +threat/-threat, as well as a placate/confuse.
