Halting the Gorn Advance (Daily)

Yeah, well... it gives fleet marks now... but with the reworked Gorn Minefield mission... well... there don't seem to be any mineral samples to collect?

    The bug has been reported and it's been acknowledged as unable to be completed until a fix comes through.


    In the meantime, you can get your daily 50 fleet marks from doing The Big Dig Daily, which has quite a healthy queue of late. This makes it easy to complete quickly.

    I'm sorry to say but this bug should have been caught, you changed the maps, but didn't check to see if all the missions with it would reflect it? QA break down, again.

    Yeah for bugs...

    Fleet Actions should all have a daily, and there should be one space and one ground fleet action daily every day, get us some variety up in here.

    And I log in today to see that the Big Dig Daily is no longer in the available mission list, but the broken Gorn Daily still is.

    What's up with that?

    Same here, my missions all flip flopped to the Gorn one so now my FM's have dried up even more.

    Given the changes to the officer dailies, these are the next best thing and this bug is causing me FM hardship.

    Ultimately though, if they fix it (not when as bug fix track record is pretty ropey) i'd prefer to do the Gorn event as it's toffee compared to the Big Dig and with only 5 it's much easier to get a top spot :)

    Any chance this Daily might be fixed on THIS side of the new year? Replacing the old Gorn Minefield, broke the daily, and I have yet to see any note for Tribble that you are actually actively fixing this.

    As long as it remains broken, that's another source of "Dilithium" that is ripped from us post-Season 7. I know you changed the Fleet Action Dailys to reward "Fleet Marks" instead, but the point remains.

    Looks like this was actually fixed and is completable on Tribble, but just MIA from the recent Tribble patch notes. We'll make sure to add it to the notes for the Holodeck push that it goes live in (hopefully in this week's!). :)

    I suppose time will tell then, if it actually DOES get fixed. Seems to me thou, you guys are often too busy to introduce "new bugs", without fixing the old ones.

    Fantastic, hope to see the fix live next patch. It's a fun mission, be glad to be able to complete the extra bit.

    does anyone else has the problem, that this daily mission doesn't appear daily?

    i accept the mission, complete it and collect the reward, then i see the mission on a 20h cooldown. Once the cooldown is expired the mission sometimes completely disappears for some unknown amount of time from the mission screen.

    same happens for me with kerrat, sometimes i can really do it daily and sometimes it disappears for up to a week before i can accept the mission again ...

    yeah, because it is not daily...all the daily mission are on a rotation, making them getable only every other day or even week...don't know why, but it is that way.
    anyway you can help each others out by sharing the mission once you join the match.

    The FA dailies are on a random roll, only one gets offered each day regardless of whether it's on cooldown for you or not.

    i tried it with sharing the mission, but if someone shares the mission with me it doesn't show any reward :(

    I'm not sure if this has been resolved for anyone else, but I just started playing recently and am unable to complete this daily. I've successfully completed the Gorn Minefield mission at least 3 or 4 times since getting the Daily, but it never updates to turn in.

    Am I doing something wrong or is this still broken?

    the objective to complete the daily is not to finish gorn minefield, it is to collect 4 mineral samples from the astroids in the first part. if you have 0/4 collected, the daily is not finished.

    Jan. 21, 2013 did the gorn minefield fleet action several times now. still can't collect the reward from Halting the Gorn Advance mission. must still be broken :(

    I've had no problem getting the reward.

    1) Are you taking the "Halting the Gorn Advance (Daily)" version of the mission? There is also a "Halting the Gorn Advance" mission which has its own rewards, separate from the Dilithium/Fleet Marks reward of the 'Daily' version. The 'Daily' version is not necessarily available every day.

    2) The "Daily" version requires that the 4 Mineral Samples in the board be collected. Check your mission log for the mission and it will say 0/4, 1/4, etc.

    3) If you are trying to complete the 'regular' (non-"Daily") version of the mission (why?), i think you actually need to go over to the system and enter it, not just queue it up in the PvE queue.

    hey guys,

    can anybody tell me where to find/recover the minerals? I only find 2 of 4 always...couldn?t find anything in the wiki yet.

    I need to know the place/location where to find it.

    I can't find Mineral samples either.

    It's like they got removed.


    I have 3 of 4 and can't find the fourth.

    If you press V (or whichever button you have your scan area bound to) then the pointer should direct you to the samples. Although 3 of them are easily found the other is quite a way out to the left of the spawn, everyone seems to go right for some reason, so tends to be missed unless it's the daily rotation and more than one person is working on the minerals.

    They're actually marked by big circles on your map and your minimap. As far as I know, the locations of said minerals never changes.

    I know, but if someone's asking they probably don't look at the map so I thought it'd be better to just direct them.

    I also didn't realise it hadn't been posted in for a while. I thought the title was familiar.
