Forget the Ambassador, give us the Norway class

    Wait? Certainly.
    I've made a new characer specifically to put it into the Ambassador class one day.
    No matter how long it takes.
    That's how much I'd like to have this ship.
    And that's how much I don't want to forget this ship.
    So thanks, but no thanks.

    Hasnt been any word on the steamrunner or norway whatsoever
    so it seems its farily low on the priority list

    I thought the steamrunner and Norway classes were part of the Akria family of ship bits?

    The Norway Class... one of the few ships to have even less appearances then the Ambassador. The way things are going it will probably be the next ship released. :)
    STO is about my Liberated Borg Federation Captain with his Breen 1st Officer, Jem'Hadar Tactical Officer, Liberated Borg Engineering Officer, Android Ops Officer, Photonic Science Officer, Gorn Science Officer, and Reman Medical Officer jumping into their Jem'Hadar Carrier and flying off to do missions for the new Romulan Empire. But for some players allowing a T5 Connie to be used breaks the canon in the game.

    They should do the Fleet version as the classic Norway design from First Contact.

    They definitely need to put an enterprise class in before adding another escort skin. Maybe I am biased though, the norway is the only jaeger design I don't like. Maybe if it came with a fixed akira skin and steamrunner skin I would be pumped.

    The Oslo and Zephyr are.
    However those only remotely resemble their canon counterparts.

    It's basically like stating the Vesper class variant of the T2 cruiser is an Excelsior.

    Armitage Class
    Thunderchild Class
    Akira Class
    Oslo Class
    Zephyr Class
    Norway Class
    Steamrunner Class
    7 models, that's more than any other ship would manage.

    Thx guys for yout options, ok the Tilte was a bit TRIBBLE sorry for that. I thought the Norway as a Variant to the Patrol Escort, they look close, dont they.

    the only thing they seem to have on common in my eyes is the deflector embedded into the saucer.

    Beyond that...the Norway has a dual hull with a nacelle connected to each.
    The nacelles are below the rear hull(s) and behind the saucer.
    The Patrol Escorts have a single hull coming out of the saucer and the nacelles are neither below the rear hull, nor behind the saucer.:confused:

    Why not make it another option skin for the Akira Class? (Yes, there will be scaling issues)

    at least the streamrunner is NOT based on the akira. dont know about the norway class but i dont think this one is based on the akira too

    fixed that for you, a skin is a texture, like mirror universe (the yellow stripes), armitage No.6 etc
    what you and one other are talking about are models not skins. not sure were you might have picked the wrong meaning up at...guessing steam forums or something, but they are not interchangeable. very specific meanings.

    not picking on you, figure you probably got it from someone else misusing the term...thinking that it applied to different models in a game rather than just the texture.

    This would be another nice ship. It would make a good one. I would like to see this and the Steamrunner Class as well.

    I'm more partial to the Steamrunner class though.

    While not a fan of the Ambassador, I'm not for "pooping in the soup" for those that love it. So not in support of dropping it. However I am a big fan of the Steamrunner moreso than the Norway.

    Sure the Norway would fit with the Akira ensemble, but the Steamrunner shouldn't just be rammed in because of the Zephyr which looks more like a throwback Ambassador-era version rather than newer. But not having the deflector in the rear pod kind of stunts the idea. Not sure of the cannon reason for the design, but should have a different role than the Akira ensemble of ships. Maybe a Sci-Escort hybrid?

    Also, I much appreciate that none of you guys started using those "meaningless" non-class names that too many throw around in game. They sdon't have the flavor of Ambassador Class or Akira Class, etc....

    I always loved that version. The iea of having to fuse the remains of their ships together would've had some interesting potential.

    If Yeaher was included as a possibility, I'd actually consider getting an intrepid then. Muahahahahah....

    The Olso Class is no Norway. The Steamrunner Class just got released and its great. I got one. There are many fans out there that want the actual Norway Class. Not some fake one pretending to be the real deal. Plus the devs can make more money from the C-Store sales. Its a win-win for the true Norway Class fans and devs profits.

    The Ambassador is coming finally and that is very good, however we still need the Norway, so you have "sort of" my vote (half vote?).
