My trip to Cryptic for a job interview. I was amazed it has only been a year since that trip.
But then I remembered that most people don't care about that kind of thing.
There are times when a day comes when that day means something to you when everyone else just sees it as another day.

A few weeks later. They decided to hire someone else. Honestly, I got so many form "we're sorry" letters over my unemployment they all ran together.
But they said it was between me and some guy that had 10 years of experience. So either I hit a homerun or the other guy was a little out there. I'll never know which.

I think it is really cool that you got to go, and it is special date to remember. You got to do something that most of us will never do, and you had a very close shot at the job. But over all you got a chance to see behind the doors of this game, and that should be a memory that sticks with you for a very long time.
I would reapply, but I have to consider my family. Last year, it would have been easier. My children are starting school and my wife got a better position within the organization she works. I would have loved to work for Cryptic, but I may just have to accept that my opportunity has passed.
That's not to say I wouldn't love to visit again.

I had much the same experience in my jobhunting, it took me 6 years of rejection letters and temporary contracts just to get my current Permanent (part time) job.
In any case, it was nice to be able to have my dream job be within reach, even if it didn't come to fruition. I've designed platform game levels since I was a kid. Maybe if I had the proper training, my username would be gold right now.
In any case, it will still be a trip I remember with fondness. That Italian place I ate dinner at was outstanding and the devs were some of the nicest people I met. They all have a passion for Star Trek and I could have spent hours there (if not for the fact I had already been up 12 hours before the interview started).

I agree with Daveyny.. You should reapply if it opens up again.
