Is there any place where we can see the armor, kits, and weapons before purchasing?

you could try wiki for pictures they tend to post them next to information about it and ship pictures too but if you dislike how they look but they are a good kit armor weapon for you you can disable viuals well you cant on weapons it just makes them vanish from your back but armors and kits can be hidden if not to your taste there is quite alot of costumes/clothing to wear too. but honestly i think most likely you'll have to buy to see how it looks different graphics plus ingame graphics settings so on things may look different on the wiki pictures then how it looks for you:)

The best thing to do is install the Tribble Test Server.

Copy your character over to Tribble, buy the armor/kits/weapons over there and test them out - before returning to the "live" Holodeck server and buying them.

If you decide you don't like them on tribble, no harm done, just delete that tribble character - copy your main over again and buy something else!

    Easy!

You have to play 2 games of STO. Play Holodeck and find something with no info, then play Tribble to figure out what the heck is going on. Designed as intended.
