Hello
Im curious about the difrence between those 2 ship's.I have tested the fleet vector vs fleet defiant,i always win(also with bug ship(is stronger ,has big turn rate) we end up both dead with ramming speed:)),the fleet vector has a lt.comander sci bridge station,i have there hazard emitters1 tss2and3(work's well with auxilary battery)for eng i have em. to shield's 1 and 2(yes i dont have reverse shield polarity)for tac i use ts1, 2xtac team1,2x crf1 and omega 1 and 3(i don't use crf3,cause u need to have turn rate,i think the fleet adv.escort is even more tanky than the fleet patrol escort)

For doff's i have:
3xShield distribution officer's
A Warp core engineer
and a Hazard system's officer

Full borg space set

Im using 4x polaron dual heavy cannon's
2x polaron turrets
and a chroniton torpedo

For consoles im using 2x rcs acellerator's,3x field gen and 5x Polaron Phase Modulator(28.1% damage)

Best ship so far for me is the Fleet Vector and the bug ship.

I dunno about that. I'm running the fleet Defiant right now with five purple MK XII Antiproton Mag Regulator consoles. Never before have I seen everything I turn toward blow up so fast. :D

Iirc both ships have 5 x tac consoles, the fleet vector can out science the tac escort for disables/heals but cant reach the same maximum damage potential due to boff layout, both are excellent ships and will come down to style and skill more than one being absolutely better than the other.

It's not just the Bridge Officer layout. Sure, the APO3 really can help the alpha strike, but let's not forget the damage output bonus you get from the cloaking device. BANG.

I dont rely like antiproton for pvp ,maybe for pve, cause ,the only good antiproton weapon's have the acc x1 ,i never seen antiproton weapon's with acc x2 or acc x3.

Cloak is nice, but not included on the fleet ships unless he already owns both va ships we can't include those in a fleet vs fleet comparison. Keep in mind as well that once you decloak you can't recloak and you spent a console on trick (that might not work) at the cost of engineering or science capacity.

I've had better luck with the advanced over defiants using tractor beams, TSE, chroniton mine spam, or all of the above. Basically an immobile Defiant is a dead defiant. The defiant has a hard time countering paralysis tricks due to its lack of Engi BOFF slots. Sure, Omega works vs. tractors, but not TSE, and there's no room for two EPtS's if you bring tactical team to counter the latter...

EDIT: Of course, the new adapted MACO engines counter the above, but it leaves the Defiant with very poor pursuit speeds.

I bolded what you need to know in the quote above.
I use the MVAE. I can own people in fleet defiants, people in fleet defiants can own me. but then again if you look at what I bolded, that sentence makes sense. :)

Cloak dosen't rely work. They need to fix it,cause,i CAN HEAR HIM,each time someone in the defiant tries to use alpha strike ,i can hear the abilities buff'ing up.So better throw the claok console out for an neutronium or eps console

I tried the cloak in my Defiant. Wasn't impressed given I need to give up precious console space on a ship that needs every bit of extra defense it can get. It might be useful in PvP where burst is king (aside from what the above poster mentioned), but it won't help much when you're trying to blow up a transwarp gate. That little bit of extra damage you do when decloaking is a drop in the bucket compared to that thing's HP, and when your 5 Tac slots have you pulling aggro the entire time you're going to need all that Neutronium.

Anyway, I'm interested in how this discussion turns out. MVAE was my very first VA ship, and since my fleet hit T4 I've been eying up the Fleet version. That lonely Tactical ensign annoys the TRIBBLE out of me though, so much so that I actually moved my MVAM console to the standard Advanced Escort and flew that most of the time I was using it.

Exactly this! Makes no sense that triggering abilities makes a sound :/
