When you're in the Sol System, you always have the option to beam to Starfleet Academy. To enter ESD or the Aenigma Nebula, you need to maneuver your ship within a certain range. Starfleet Academy's range is limitless within the Sol system map.
The Captain's table is a great map, but it seems very underused. It would be great if those who've earned access could warp to the Aenigma nebula from anywhere in the Sol system. The fact that you need to maneuver your ship half way across the map to get there is somewhat prohibitive.
This wouldn't change anything too much, but it would make it far easier for those qualified players to take advantage of this underused map.
Captain's Table needs a valuable service. I have suggested it being a Transwarp Hub and having a door in every social area that can travel to and from the Captain's Table. The door idea fits with canon on the Captain's Table in the Star Trek novels.
Alas, updates to this have been asked for time and time again since it came out
The hub idea is a good one though, I must admit.
You could have hubs for your fleet base and to a few locations with hubs that come back. It would help travel times and could be set up to work with the diplomatic transwarp locations (as in the C.T. hub has locations the skill does not) so you can cover most of the game play areas quite quickly.
I would also add, that anyone with the diplomatic skill that allows you to grant access to the "enemy" sector also grant access to the C.T. map for the same duration - that way those who have earn't the skill can help others to gain fast travel options.
Anything that makes the captain's table worth the trip would be nice. It's not exactly a long trip now so it not being worth it is kinda sad.
That^!
That right there is the problem.
I haven't visited Ct in months. I have no need to. It has nothing special to it, other than a pretty zone, and is in fact inferior in facilties compared to ESD/Qo'noS.
---
Just visited it to remember everything it "has".
Yes, it does have Bank/Mail/Exchange access and a Select you ship officer,
and...?
Cap the bartender. Useful since you can't replicate your own drink while in CT, but he doesn't sell anything you couldn't replicate anyways..
Why in Grethor does it have a Mk I common gear vendor?!?
and the Lounge...
and of course the big "captains table".
and that's it.
You might as well have just bypassed it since ESD/Qo'noS has all of those and much much more.

They really need to add some bigger guests to the facility as well. They could even make the guests be random, like occasionally you'd see Kirk or even Sisko.

But I go to the Table to get away from the Zone chat dribble that goes on, especially lately.
