Greetings Captains,
Our Fleet, Starfleet Xtreme [SFX] is going to open recruiting for a very few selective people.
Instead of openly and massively recruiting people, we, prefer quality against numbers.
We will accept members of any profession, veterans, newbies, free 2 play players etc.
We have a military doctrine with a ranking system where members are promoted by different actions and participation in the Fleet and of course, in game. We follow the traditional navy ranks, but we are not that serious that you cannot speak a word.
We have simple rules that benefit the whole Fleet.
All members that wish to apply must understand a few points:
1- We use Ventrilo for voice chat, we rarely use in game chat, so if you are not willing to use Ventrilo to communicate with us then please do not apply.
2- We have a Tier 4 Starbase, already working for Tier 5, that does not mean you came here pick your stuff and bail. The main point of the Starbase rewards and gear is participation. The more we see that you are interested in participating in the Starbase and in the quality of our Fleet and any future projects the game developers release, the better standings you will have with us. I have seen many fleets getting "scammed" like this, so do not interpret this in a bad way, we have to protect our assets from outsiders and strangers. Become part of our family and the world is yours.
3- We will help building your new characters and can even provide some gear for your ship for you leveling up, but please do not abuse. We consider everyone a friend and we consider ourselves like family.
4- Last but not least, have fun! This is MANDATORY!
About us:
We are a small Fleet with players since beta, and most of them are LTS (Life Time Subscribers). We all have one thing in common, we love Star Trek for what it is.
SFX started as a clan in the old game Bridge Commander, we had a big influence over there, and we just made our 10th anniversary a while ago.
We currently have 2 game divisions, Star Trek Online and Star Wars TOR, but we are only recruiting for STO so do not apply if you are interested in Star Wars, that is the department of that division.
We need members that are willing to grow with us, found strong friendships and become part of a great and fun family.
With the way the game is going, everything indicates it will grow much more in the next couple years.
Some of our members decided to become experts in some areas of STO, if Doffing is your thing, we have a living encyclopedia! STF's? We can help you, if you are a newbie and are tired of queues that take 1 hour to do a simple Elite STF.
Are you totally new to the game? No problem, we take you by the hand if needed to help you understand everything about the game, from the interface, tricks to setup your character skills, and much more. We will make sure, when you reach Level 50, you will kick butt!
You a veteran and do not know very well where to sit? Come and kick butt with us, help us improving our Fleet and you even might learn a trick or two
.
We need you, to grow our family and make SFX a honorable Fleet in the community.
If you wanna apply:
We will accept a maximum of 10 to 15 members only, and probably of all those, not all will stay. Like, I stated before, we want quality not quantity, so do not feel bad if we say, "sorry dude, but you are not SFX material", that does not mean you cannot keep in touch with us, and still visiting us on Ventrilo. After all, your friendship is all that matters.
- All members that will apply will have no rank, and no obligations whatsoever to follow our military protocols (they are not that strict ). You will be seen on Ventrilo as a "visitor or recruit".
The reason for this is because, like us, you may feel SFX is not a Fleet for you, if that is the case, no, hard feelings, nice to know you and good luck out there. Consider this a bit of "probation" time, in a good way, to check how we work and so on, if you like it cool, if you do not, then you may leave at will, but we hope you stay in touch.
- The members that will become SFX will be part of the Academy with the rank of Cadet and promoted to Crewman after some time. Remember, that your interaction with our members and the community of STO be that in forums or in game, must be honorable. You are wearing the SFX tags, so be honorable. From this point forward, you must learn and follow our protocols (they are not that hard ).
Only by creating a stable Fleet, with active members in and out of the game, we can say that we earn our place in the "family". The Fleet is above everyone, and even if we choose to follow a military protocol, this is not a Dictatorship, in fact we are very democratic, but we have officers of different ranks that we must respect.
Please do not post your application here. I will not accept open public applications. I believe in the privacy of everyone. Use the PM (private message) system of the forums and PM me if you are willing to join.
Please include your in game name (me@me) and I will instruct you to join a private channel in game for you to join to complete your application.
Other info:
We accept members worldwide, but the majority are from the United States and UK, so English is the main language of the Clan. Depending of you time zone, you might find people playing or not, still, this does not mean some of us makes sometimes a all night session (well almost everyday :P )
