i am fortunate enough to recieve enough zen to obtain the vista package of ships.
my question to everyone is- should i purchase the vista package or continue to work on recieving the breen ship threw the holiday event?
should i recieve both? the vista package and breen ship?
is the breen ship worth having? is the vista ships worth having?
i have done research on all ships. the problem im seeing with the vista bundle is that when shields are in god mode they can not attack. so is the ships worth having? i understand the breen ship is pretty awesome in itself.
correction: you can get the breen ship for free if you can win. I lag up everytime I run the race and there's no way for me to really fix it beyond getting a new computer. The vesta is more of a science ship.

You're looking at the wrong thing. The Vesta's Quantum-Focused Shield Bubble is nice, yes...but it's not the main thing about the ship. You only get that from having all three consoles from the full bundle slotted - but not everyone uses all three consoles on their Vesta, even if they have access to them. The console powers on the Vesta are nice, but they're not deal-makers or deal-breakers by themselves.
The Vesta is a science ship with: a) a hangar slot for pets, b) universal bridge officer slots, and c) the option to slot dual heavy cannons that run off Aux power.
However, the Breen ship is a cruiser with: a) a science ship's turn rate, b) Commander tactical bridge officer slot, c) LTC science officer slot, and d) the option to slot regular dual or dual heavy cannons.
They're not the same thing, and they're only really comparable in the sense that both ships allow you to combine higher-tier science powers (like Viral Matrix and Gravity Well) with dual or dual heavy cannon fire (and probably tactical powers like Cannon Rapid Fire and Cannon Scatter Volley).
It's worth noting that the Breen ship has 10 console slots, which is on par with the Fleet ships. The Vesta only has 9, I believe.

...Really, with all of that, it's more of a Science-focused Heavy Destroyer with a fourth aft weapon and extra bulk.
The Boff layout is an Escort's (the MVAE's except for the Universal slot), the consoles are an Escort's (the Fleet Heavy Escort Carrier's), the power settings are a Destroyer's (same as the Nausicaan Destroyers), and its turn rate and impulse modifier are similar to the Chimera/Peghqu'. The main "Cruiser" aspects of it are pulled from the Vor'cha Retrofit (4/4 weapons and 36k/1.0 hull/shields), but without the high-level Engineer slots or the 4 Engineer consoles, it could hardly be called a Cruiser...
thank you all for your opinions as i have weighed them out and see that the vista takes alot of reasearch inorder to use its full potential. i will not be purchasing the vista bundle and get the breen ship. and save my zen for something else that comes out that is awesome and less confusing.

I think the question you should be asking is,"Should I buy the Vesta bundle at all, or get something else?"
Awoken Dead
Now shaddup about the queues, it's a BUG
This is what I'd do, honestly. With that said...

Nope, the Vesta has 10. They're not the same 10 depending on the type of Vesta you get, but it has 10 console slots.
Any C-store ship that has a three-ship bundle will have Fleet-equivalent stats.

All three Vesta variants have 10: 3 Tac, 4 Sci, 2 Eng and then the 10th console is the one that fits with the variant's specialization.
