Deflector Doffs - what triggers their proc?

harrymonkleyharrymonkley Member Posts: 100 Arc User
I've been using three blue quality deflector doffs to try and increase the uptime of my Sci CC powers - I'm certain that they do proc from time to time, but it is unclear what triggers the proc from the tooltip description, as opposed to technician doffs for example.

I bought them as an inexpensive upgrade, but my single blue quality gravimetric doff procs more often. If anyone knows exactly what triggers the proc on the deflector doffs please enlighten me.

It should have chance to proc every time you use one of the abilities listed.

I posted a thread about this myself in the gameplay bugs section.

The trigger isn't listed in the power description, nor in the mouseover display during battle.

I also don't think they're triggering... I have 2 purple deflector officers to try and reduce my ES3 cooldown and its always 1 minute. I've never gotten the trigger.

Update: The Deflector Officer trigger IS listed when I mouse over my JemHadar Deflector Dish, in the Ship Status window. Twice, once for each officer. It is NOT listed in the powers menu in system space, nor is it listed when I mouse over Energy Siphon III.

Thought this information might help someone figure it out.

Edit: Found the problem. ES3 is bugged. Moving over to bridge officer forum.

Not sure it is bugged at all. Not that long ago they moved a bunch of skills around system wise, so that they no longer triggered global cool downs.

As far as I know the only 2 skills that trigger the defector doff are Gravity Well and Tykens Rift, they are also the only 2 skills that are on the deflector global anymore... so I would say the doff is working as intended... however it is possible the tool tip is wrong.

It was in a patch in Oct, I found the notes.

It basically says they removed the shared cooldown between beam effects from the deflector and AoE effects from the deflector, but each type of these still share a cooldown and they are still listed as deflector abilities. They also continue to be listed in the deflector officer tooltip.

    Troubleshooting is fun... LOL

My question here is does the Deflector DOFF reduce with Feedback Pulse?
