Gold members and free foundry project slots

My friend is a lifetime/gold member so he should have 8 free foundry project slots. He did have them before S7 and he even made a foundry character and experimented a bit with the mission creation. But now they are all gone. The game simply states he has no foundry project slots. Could anyone please shed some light on this issue? Did they change free project slots policy for gold members or what?

    It sounds like some sort of bug to me.

    Well it looks like it was a (fortunately only temporarily) bug. Anyway, problem solved, he got his project slots back :)

    It takes those slots away if you ever go from Gold to Silver (not sure what happens if they are already used but sure it wouldn't be good) so it must have thought the account changed status.

    If that's true then it was somehow limited to foundry only cause all of the other gold features were still there.
    + apparently the problem isn't solved at all, the projects slots dissappeared again... Will submit a ticket.
