The D7 is all STO has from pre TNG Klingon trek, so I guess it's my fav even tho I don't own one since STO made it such a POS for any veteran captain and non-eng toon.
"Critics who say that the optimistic utopia Star Trek depicted is now outmoded forget the cultural context that gave birth to it: Star Trek was not a manifestation of optimism when optimism was easy. Star Trek declared a hope for a future that nobody stuck in the present could believe in. For all our struggles today, we haven’t outgrown the need for stories like Star Trek. We need tales of optimism, of heroes, of courage and goodness now as much as we’ve ever needed them." -Thomas Marrone
Armitage, great survivability and lots of firepower.
Kar'fi, lower survivability but massive firepower and tons of tricks. a really fun ship.
Bortesqu' War Cruiser, great fire power and the best survivability of the 3.
Kar'fi is my current fave.

My favorite has to be the NCC-1701 (no stinkin' A, B, C, D, E, F, J, NX, or other as-of-yet released letter).
However, it's not exactly a viable late-game option here in STO, even with the "movie refit".
Of the "TNG era" ships, the one that I like the looks of the most would be the Nebula, fairly decent looking rebuild of the Miranda.
However, my favorite ship to fly in-game right now is the Tholian Recluse carrier. Yeah, with a science officer in the universal slot it's very light for tactical options, but everything else it has is useful for a decent amount of destruction, especially from a science style vessel.
Detecting big-time "anti-old-school" bias here. NX? Lobi. TOS/TMP Connie? Super-promotion-box. (aka the two hardest ways to get ships) Excelsior & all 3 TNG "big hero" ships? C-Store. Please Equalize...

It's an ugly version of a beautiful ship, it's incredibly difficult to use, and requires the utmost attention to it's build, but the Galaxy-X is a glorious vessel to fly. With the right build it can become a comically maneuverable (for a flying city) death machine.
As for the klingon ships.... I don't really have one, but I enjoy the Kar'Fi. I feel compelled to order chinese takeout from it every time I see one. :P
For the Federation, I think my favourite would have to the the Luna (Reconnaissance/Mirror Deep Space Science Vessel). With the right layout, she dish out damage better than the Defiants, last longer, and (IMO) look sexier doing it.
For the Klinks, I'd have to go with the Hegh'ta. She looks nasty, and she's got the teeth to back that look up. The universal BO layout is also a plus for me.
That being said, I so want the B'rel Retrofit. Too bad I can't afford it atm. Damn you economy!
Also, was anyone else disappointed with the Odyssey?
Klingons, you get the best melee weapon in the game- for free. You get the only ship class in the game with universal officer slots- for free. You get access to eleven different types of carrier- one of which is free. You are warriors, quit complaining.
With the right build on it. It can take a pounding like a cruiser should. Yet can still dish out as much dps as some escorts. People get surprised by it, when I take it into Ker'rat.
I fly my Vor'cha with stock parts but swap the mission pod around. Depending on what type I fly.
Mirror - Tor'khat pod
Refit - Vor'cha pod
Fleet - Vor'Kang pod
FED - Akira Class Carrier.
Flying into battle with a wing of fighters is always fun. Watching them fly over the ship firing pulse cannons. Reminds me of those Ds9 battles. Plus the Akira just looks awesome.
I use the Thunder Child Saucer and Nacelles, with Stock Akira Struts and Pylons.
In game: Defiant (Can't remember what the class is actually called). It's just pure badass, except for the cloaking device which isn't worth much, except playing around with at Sirius.
Show/Movie wise: Intrepid Class. Coolest ship ever. The moving warp nacelles just make it even better.
KDF: None, as I really don't like any of the Klingon ship designs.

aut vincere aut mori pro imperio

As for why... Can't even put it into words

Now shaddup about the queues, it's a BUG
It has teeth, just like Sisko said.
Klingon Empire: D5 class
NX class is my favorite by far.
I also really like my Qin Raptor with Birok nacelles. It looks like a baby Vo'quv.

I just wish they had the interior heights right, ie big for like on cruisers and small on smaller ships etc

I don't really have favorite ships. Not yet.
Infinite possibilities have implications that could not be completely understood if you turned this entire universe into a giant supercomputer.
