Anyone with the breen ship already has forked out, on average, 1250 lobi crystals for it.

Last I checked a lockbox granted on average 4 crystals each meaning you have opened 250 lockboxes, spending the equivalent of 31,250 zen or over $300 of real money.

Thus it is safe to say anyone with the ship already is a dumbass and not worthy of attention.

I'm not going to spend my lobi on a Breen ship. At the same time I WON'T begrudge someone that chooses to.

Just because someone chooses to do something with their resources that you don't agree with doesn't give you the right to insult them. It just shows you to be small minded.

The only thing here is there was never an interior shown for a breen ship in ANY of the shows. EVER. And very little to nothing is actually known about the breen, as compared to other races. So you'd be asking the to make something from scratch to add to their already quite full task board.
It is said the best weapon is one that is never fired. I disagree. The best weapon is one you only have to fire... once. B)

I'm sorry, but they've already done just that with Tholian ships, though it's rather basic by most ship interior standards, it still adds to the flavor and unique properties of such an alien ship.

    tl;dr
They already made a custom bridge for Tholian ships

I think we have to remember that PWE is a business. Making a bridge for a ship that requires money to be spent to obtain is reasonable, just as not including a bridge on a completely free ship is reasonable.

Truth be told, I'm quite happy to overlook the fact that there isn't a custom bridge owing to the fact that the ship is free. Free food tastes better in the same way that free ships fly better. ;)

Oh, I've seen HEAPS of comments in game picking on those who have chosen to buy the Breen ships. You know the sorts, pay to win, etc.

I think that those arguments are WEAK with a side order of WEAK with a generous helping of WEAK sauce on top.

I have over 5,000 lobi, enough to buy 4 Breen ships. I got that lobi by collecting dilithium farming, playing the exchange and STFs. I know I'm not the only one who does this.

If a player buys a ship by working hard enough to make the in-game currency needed then how is that pay to win? That's work to win. Dedication to win. Patience to win.

Leave the people who have bought the ship alone. They broke no rules to get it so their win should be celebrated, not attacked.

If you got the cash to buy a Breen ship on day 1 (and I've seen a few) more power to ya. (and can you buy me a _______ :D )

But just think about it this way, after a month, you and Mr.Moneybags will both be in the same situation...owning a Breen ship. He spent lobi, you spent ~2hr of your time running a race 25-35 times.

Me, I have more time than money... so see you at the track!

I don't have that kind of lobi, so I'm hitting the races with my KDF. Would love to see him in one of these. To give me an alternative ship.

Considering people drink and smoke away there cash or drop it in gentlemans clubs this is easily one of the better use for the work someone does to get the cash. If they choose to drop 300 on a game and it makes THEM happy who the fk cares. It supports the game many dont. If someone gets called a pay-to-win player its most likely because outside of the game they are working-to-win to get the cash the cash others dont want to work as hard to get. To be blunt and let the flames of butthurt over that statement begin. The majority of people dont have that ability to purchase so they cry about others who can. Hell I know i cant drop hundreds at a time that some can.. But fk i respect the ones that can. There doing something right or working harder or smarter to be able to. Hell even if they dil grinded for it, stop crying because they work harder then you. Do not bring that i have a life scape goat line either. Your lack of ability should not control someones ability. If your going to be a gamer accept there will ALWAYS be someone doing it better. If you are the top dawg your playing harder then the rest to hold that title.

Tldr stop crying cause your not an elitist

I have no trouble with people buying the ship - lobi or simple time spent, all of us need to pay in some fashion anyway.

So in the risk of further de-railing this thread, as a sort of open request, I would love to a new feedback thread from new Breen ship owners. What builds they opted for, what BO abilities and ultimately how it performs in the field. Just so all the troubleshooting has been done by the time I have one myself :D

    OK, back on track.

I think we need to remember that this ship is 'free' so it makes sense that the devs wouldn't have allocated tons of time toward development. I think their is an assumption that more Breen ships may be on the way, so perhaps they will release some Breen bridges along with that?

In any case it doesn't bother me, I spend no time on bridges at all.

This is precisely why my wife doesn't mind me spending the odd dollar in game. To her, me buying the Vesta pack is faaaaar better than me drinking it, smoking it or stuffing in someone's g-string!!

I don't have any lobi. I don't have anything to do with those accursed lockboxes. I'll be earning this one. . .maybe for all three of my KDF toons, if it's easy to load in and out of the Qo'noS entrance.

No sir. You are the .. above mentioned derogatory term.

You are obviously jealous and raging with this post. You have no idea how people opened the boxes or obtained the Lobi. I for one sold 2 jem bugs and used some cash. So what? I want the free thing NOW, instead of trying to get onto a game everyday running around an ice track with any toons who wants the ship.

    Bite me loser.

I agree with the OP. The Breen ships should have bridges that look like walk-in freezers with icicles hanging from the ceiling.

Maybe use your flamming time to work a second job lol

Yes we need a unique bridge for the ship, but like anything not lockbox.. we will never get it.

    Lol quoted for truth.

I dont care if someone wants to spend those kinds of resources getting now what you will be able to get for free in a few weeks, I just feel it necessary to point out to said morons that they are wasting their money. Throwing money at PWE is not a good way to stop this pay to win rubbish you get with free to play games.

Incorrect. You're shown the interior of a detention area aboard a Breen cruiser during the DS9 finale episode sequence.

The problem is that to create a bridge, Cryptic would have to deal with the ambiguity surrounding the Breen and their suits (Weyoun talks about how Breen actually isn't a frozen ice ball per Dominion intel, which then leads to the inevitable "why the hell do they need the suits" question), and it's unlikely CBS will allow them to clarify.

I am working on the Breen ship. So far logged on 2 days for the race. My KDF is the one going to get it. Since that will give him a different ship to play around with. And it looks more KDF style being a warship/aggressive type. And to me it don't fit the Fed style. Looking forward to trying it out in 20+ days. I got an idea what weapons I will put on it. Time will tell soon as I get it.

Anyone spending real $$ to buy this "free" ship has something wrong them anyways, even if they have boat loads of extra cash laying around or not, this ship is acquired for free within a couple weeks.

I personally have over 2000 lobi's in the bank, but why spend them on a free ship when i could buy a couple temporal vessels and sell them on the x-change?

However, people will do what they believe is fun to them, even if it means wasting resources on a free item lol.

I was going to acquire this new ship as well for my engineer, until I seen the stats and the low hull integrity i decided against it. As for my tactical officer, ill stick with my fleet tac escort refit and fleet advanced escort.

Enjoy your new "free" flying toilet paper dispenser :)

so some of us can't ensure we are online for all the required days as we have RL stuff to deal with such as kids and what-not.

For me I have been a lifer since beta and had a bunch of Cryptic points which I spent on trying to get the mobius and wells. So I had a bunch of lobi, nothing to spend them on, figured the breen ship was worth it, spent the lobi got the ship and was proven right.

    Its an awesome cruiser.

This is your opinion. It makes you out to be holier-than-thou. I'm sorry, but what gives you the right to pass judgement on other people? What people do with their time and resources is their own business.

I agree. Buying the Breen ship doesn't impinge on the gameplay of other people so why do people feel they have the right to pass judgement?

Because it's not logical to buy something that's free.

I understand that statement at face value, but the world is not black and white.

Firstly, maybe some people don't have the time to get it. I'm away on holidays soon and I may not have access to a computer during the days the Winter Wonderland is open. Regardless of being free I may not have access to it. If I decided to buy it would I be acting contrary to logic? As for other people, maybe they're away too, or having family members stay with them or they're going to have elective surgery or they're going overseas for business or any other myriad of reasons. Are they acting contrary to logic also?

Secondly, you're talking about people. People are not Vulcan. We make decisions based on wants, desires and passions in addition to rational thought. If someone REALLY wants one now then surely, as a free thinking person, they have the right to do so?

I just think that people are needlessly being picked on because they are exercising the right to choose what they want. A choice this game freely gives them. Pick on them if they break the rules, not if they abide by them.

I did some math (if I'm mistaken forgive me and correct me), but 23 days (assuming it ends Dec 31) of "Winter Wonderland" events at 40 Q pictures per day is only 920 pictures...still 80 short of getting the Breen ship. If this is the case its not much of a prize i/m/h/o if you have to spend rl money to open 20 more lock boxes as well.

Edit: Oops! It runs until Jan. 14th. :P
