how about adding these romulan and omega marks in the c-store for vice admiral players only so we wont have to go through this pointless grinding all day
I'm just sick and tired of seeing everyone running around in there MACO armour and there ships with MACO and OMEGA tech while I'm doing STF mission about a billion times and get nothing:mad:

Then your doing it wrong. The system guarantees those items now in much less than a billion STF runs.

Indeed. Many of us had to run through millions of times to get our armor. You only have to run through 500,000 times. [/Just Kidding].
It is a significantly reduced amount of time. And if you don't find it fun, simply put, don't play. 'Grinding' STFs and whatnot is part of the fun of the game.

I got the MK XI MACO space set in about a week, just from random drops. I figured it would take me 120 STFs to get the ground set (assuming 1 EDC per STF). I had 30 when S7 dropped, and that turned into 1500 Omega Marks. Under the old system, I should have needed 90 more STFs to get the rest of the Mark XI ground set.
It took 10.
Apparently my definition of "grind" post-S7 is different from other people.
in some way you can...bonus fleet marks boosters...something similar for omega and romulan marks could be added to lockboxes maybe, similar to the XP boosts already in place.
or as a projekt to the reputation system. i would certainly consider starting those projects to boost my marks income.
but as a straight buy, that is unthinkable...takes the game out of the game.

What makes you think we haven't run them or have gotten lucky?
I had a full MkXII on 5 toons before the rep change...
Most of my toons earned the 300 STF completed accolade before they finished their sets.
And for the record my main uses the full Borg space set because its better suited for his build. My Fed tact is using full Aegis because its still a great set for escorts.
The old system was a luck of the draw, the new system is a promised path. If you don't buy any gear until T5, you only need to run about 25 STFs for enough marks.
A lot of folks are whining about the "grind", and in a way it still IS a grind (in the sense that grinding is repetitious activity), but THIS time you're guaranteed to get something when it's done.
I have friends in-game that, like me, have been STO players since BETA and prior to Season 7 have NEVER acquired a single Mk XII STF set item, all because of the luck of the draw system for prototype salvage and tech, due to simple bad luck and people always, ALWAYS voting Need during drops, because trading in Salvage and Tech was part of other people's dilithium farming.
But now they can finally get that stuff, and they know WHEN they can get it, and how soon.
S7 is by no means perfect, but in terms of making STO more playable for the average player, i.e. most of the folks not whining on forums, it's more good than bad.

The STFs scare me. :P So I've been doing the Defera easy ground missions. (Gonna take a lot of 5 mark missions to get those Tier 1 Mk X engines for 450  New Romulus is so much faster!)
...still wouldn't buy marks from the c-store, though.
