or when someone says "read the Wiki" over and over while you are SOLO defending the gate because everyone else is reading the wiki (which incidentally is wrong in places)
When you're doing Cure Space Elite, and someone says: "Hey, what's going on guys, I've never done one of these before. :DDDDD"
When every ship but you is an Odyssey.
When EVERY. SINGLE. SHIP. Is an Odyssey.
When the one ship that isn't an Odyssey is a Star Cruiser.
When the one ship that isn't an Odyssey is a Intrepid.
When the one ship that isn't an Odyssey is a Atrox.
I think it was me in my beloved Odyssey together with 3 more of them. The only escort bailed before the mission began because he was surrounded by Odysseys but we still managed to get the optional with 4 ships.
1) someone has a mini gun equiped
2) 2 people are sitting afk while the others are going at it
3) someone asks what MRRMLL stands for
4) when someone talks to the officer on IGE before everyone is situated at the forcefield
5) everyone is in shuttles for CSE,KASE ect
6) before the game starts 2 people leave
or when someone says "read the Wiki" over and over while you are SOLO defending the gate because everyone else is reading the wiki (which incidentally is wrong in places)
Actually I asked them to read the Wiki AFTER the mission was complete.
That's an HOUR for Infected I'll never get back, an HOUR!

Tell me again how I'm in the wrong?
You are definitely in the wrong for staying for more than an hour!
I have a rule - if people F Up the first and blow a gen while the others are still working - then blow the opt with the nanites arriving - then focas only on the spheres and not nanite - when I say in chat "only shoot it if it says Nanite" - 1 time around if we can't get it before the second wave of nanites - I'm GONE!
better to work on a different character then waste time playing ring-around-the -transformer for hours
You know it's going to be a bad STF when one of your teammates Explodes as soon as they enter the map.
I had 1 today Infected elite where 3 died before the first cube and spheres were killed - I was like " oh **** - this is going to be screwed"
luckily I was on my current main on the Fed side which is a crowd control Sci in a fleet Nebula and was able to pull it off - had to keep nanites bottled up twice with GW3 and Warp plasma just to get the trans killed because they f'd that up to!
Puggings like a box of chocolates - you never know what your gonna get.
One of my patrol escort's forward weapons stops working entirely, for no apparent reason, for the duration of the STF. On top that, I was having trouble trying to keep my dual heavy cannons trained on the Borg ships. I don't usually have much of a problem with that, but then, they become my only remaining front facing weapons....
When the only person on Infected trying to keep the nanite ships at bay is one confused idiot in an assault cruiser that can't seem to kill anything. I am that confused idiot.

You know its going to be a bad STF when you do twice or more the damage of the guy who is doing second most damage. Except you do so much damage, that you could run the STF alone.
You know its going to be a bad STF when 3 people protect the Kang.. unsuccessfully and in normal.
Hey! I've had to ask that before. It was the first CSE run I had done in about 8 months so wasn't familiar with the 'new' terminology is all :P Someone explained it, and we went and did it all with about 5 mns left on the optional timer.
You know you are in a bad STF when tactical officers turn to engage the nanites instead of nuking the generator.
You know you are in a bad STF when 2 go left, 2 go right, and the last person sits in the middle and says "Hey guys, don't split up. It means I have to deal with more probes that way." (KASE)
You know it's gonna be a bad mission when the science ship holds aggro amidst a group of 3 escorts...
Sadly, I usually am the aforementioned aggro holding science ship... :P
Detecting big-time "anti-old-school" bias here. NX? Lobi. TOS/TMP Connie? Super-promotion-box. (aka the two hardest ways to get ships) Excelsior & all 3 TNG "big hero" ships? C-Store. Please Equalize...

You know its going to be a bad STF when only you and one other are attacking the Cubes needed for mission completion and everyone else is running around chasing Borgified Klingon ships... for the entire match.
Yeah, but it can be funny as well.
Had one of the control freaks ask if everyone knew what they were doing on Cure Ground, I thought the full Honour Guard armour rendered the question moot but freak-boy insists on an answer or he's not going to move an inch, so I answered "Of course I know what I'm doing, I'll get the shield room."
You wouldn't believe the bad language, well OK you might.
"Critics who say that the optimistic utopia Star Trek depicted is now outmoded forget the cultural context that gave birth to it: Star Trek was not a manifestation of optimism when optimism was easy. Star Trek declared a hope for a future that nobody stuck in the present could believe in. For all our struggles today, we haven’t outgrown the need for stories like Star Trek. We need tales of optimism, of heroes, of courage and goodness now as much as we’ve ever needed them." -Thomas Marrone
Ah yes - the 'music over voice-chat thing' - it was the godawful 'Requiem to a Dream' last time it happened to me. I LOATHE that overrated pile of garbage used-on-every-fanboy-youtube-video EVER- music track!!
Would you prefer Nightwish or Therion?
My PvP toon is Krov, of The House of Snoo. Beware of my Hegh'ta of doom.
You know it is going to be a bad STF when you are a science officer in a science ship, everyone else is tactical officers in escorts or cruisers, and you are attracting almost all the aggro.

the moment you step into Becky's chamber everyone falls into the drink.
You know it is going to be a bad STF when:
The idiot blows up the nanite generators before you can type 10%

I did that once when I forgot my remodulator. Wasn't too helpful against Manus. :P
That is freakin hilarious.
What does it stand for? :P
