Hello and welcome to another edition of our Fan Art challenges! Since this is only the fifth one, please make sure to read the rules below. Also, feel free to post feedback about the rules/ challenge in the discussion thread linked below, as well as themes that you would like to see in the future.
Today we start the four-week run of the fifth Fan Art Challenge:
Crew
Create Fan Art that shows off and depicts one of your in-game character's crew of either faction, or one from each. Feel free to choose the setting (e.g. Ten Forward, a hallway, Engineering, Astrometrics, etc.) you would like.
This is the artist's thread -- only entries should be made here.
The Discussion Thread can be found
HERE.
We also have an Index of previous challenges
HERE.
The rules may change from one challenge to another, but I'd like to let everyone know what the base rules are. These may grow as we move on, so also feel free to give feedback!
- Each Challenge will run for four weeks. For these four weeks we will sticky the challenge and let you make your entry.
- There is no right or wrong entry.
- ALL artwork needs to be your original creation. This is VERY IMPORTANT!
- Feel free to submit your entry in any medium (e.g. 3D graphics, sketch, watercolor, oil, crayon, pencil, collage, etc. -- anything (appropriate)!)
- You will need to upload your image to your own file sharing site/ service and link it in this thread.
- Please keep discussion about the entries in the appropriate Discussion Thread.
- In the Discussion Thread, feel free to write what inspired you and what your thoughts on the challenge/ rules are.
- There will be no voting/ winners. This is just for fun.
- A few other important reminders:
- Please heed the rest of the forum's rules when submitting your entry! All of them apply to these posts/ images.
- Each poster can have one entry (or two if doing one for each faction). Feel free to edit your post or add/ remove content as you see fit during the next four weeks.
- After four weeks time, the thread will be unstickied as we move on to the next challenge.
- We'll have two threads: One to post the entries in and one to discuss the entries. **Cross-linking between these two threads is acceptable for these challenges ONLY!!**
Comments
I've been meaning to experiment with this particular graphic style for a while, and the challenge gave me a good enough idea for it. I'm aware of a whole lot of wonkiness in proportions, perspective and so on, but I hope you'll enjoy it in spite of these.
Edit: forgot to link the preview.
