What I'd like to see is the ability to que up a mission from the Holodeck. Say at the acadamy or fleet starbases. This would give those large spaces some function and create the possibility of Holodeck missions, training, entertainment/holo novels, etc.

Is it possible?

The problem is that none of the holodecks have a 'trigger' point located inside them to start anything.
Placing a 'clickable' control panel in each of them would do the trick. We just have to keep asking for the Foundry Team to 'make it so'. (most Fed holodecks already have panels in them, they just can't be 'clicked' currently )
So until this happens, all the holodecks everywhere are pretty much useless.
What would be nice is just a single option to start on a Holodeck, and if you select that, your mission can be started at ANY holodeck throughout the game, whether at a Starbase or at SFA or on your ship interior.

Aye, this is a great idea.
I should be able to start any holo program from ANY holodeck or holosuite I am in.

Indeed, I second this great idea in the hopes that it gets known by the devs.

If you mean story missions, then i think that you should at least have to have played through them once on the toon, then 'replay' them on the holodeck? makes more sense like reliving the glory days of old assignments ^^

That'd work for plenty of missions, but I have three missions, the ones in my sig in fact, that are designed to be actual Holodeck programs. As it stands I don't have a Holodeck to start them on, so I made like one of the doors on the Qo'nos Shipyards leads to a holodeck. Would be nice to be able to start them from an actual holodeck. I'm sure there's more missions out there that would benefit in this way.

It would open up so many story possibilities if you could actually start from a holodeck. Holodecks, Poker, and Dabo have been shown as the prevalent forms of entertainment through out the different series.
Right now there really isn't a convincing way to start a holonovel, and yet in the 2400 series of episodes they had us use the holodeck for training so it's obviously possible to do, they just haven't unlocked that option for us, but really how hard would it be?
Even if they only opened up the holodecks on fleetbases, SFA, and ship interiors that would give plenty of options.
Well... adding a door at a specific holodeck would be easy. Letting you go to ANY holodeck for the mission start might be hard. I think they'd have to recode something to make that work.
They just added two things that they told us were impossible: going to character select screen instead of logging out and allowing us to despawn NPCs. Surely a little thing like holodeck functionality isn't going to stump them? right? lol
The game already has multiple access points for the Exchange. How hard could it be to adapt the same function for mission start points? Each holodeck would be the same door copied and pasted at diffident locations.

you can use the accad ones at least (played a mission that did this) im afraid I don't know how it was done

That's exactally what I was thinking about.
Please Dev's, make this so.
