I would like to try my first elite, probably Infected:The conduit or The cure found but having left STO 12 months ago I am now playing catchup so could do with advice for refitting my ship including Bridge officer skills.
I have run both of them multiple times during the last weeks in normal mode but do not
want to join an Elite of either until I won't waste everyone elses time.
I am an Engineer.
My ship is the Caitian Atrox Carrier, I like this ship because of its adaptability and survivability at least as far as I have found.
I do own the Federation dreadnought and can reship to that if people think it would be better.
Remember my build may look a little strange because I am just starting to relearn things and a lot changed so I have just been grabbing things that look fun.
Hangar currently holds
1 Flight of Purple Advanced Stalker Fighters
1 Flight of Purple Advanced Peregrine Fighters
with the pure dps of the peregrine plus the shield damaging ability of the stalker it seems to be a good combo.

You'd be well served having at least one Field Generator in a Science console slot. I don't know much about Science builds, so I don't know if you just want to keep stacking Field Generators to get a bigger and bigger boost to your shields, or if something else is better, but I'm quite sure you should have at least one.
This is all coming from the perspective of an Escort pilot, so take it with a grain of salt, and if anyone else shows up to correct me, more power to them. But...
Get rid of that RCS Accelerator. Since it's a percentage-based boost, you actually don't see a lot of gain from it in a whale of a ship. The turn rate on the Atrox is so low that there's really only a negligible boost. You'd probably be better off slotting Electroceramic (Plasma/Tetryon resist) or Diburnium (Phaser/Disruptor) Hull Plating in there, depending on if you're doing STFs of Fleet Actions.

Engineering has changed to
Field emitter
Electroceramic
neutronium
Science I changed to
BioFunction Monitor
and added a Field generator
