Fleet Ships (Suggestion)

Other than their appearance, console slots and hull strength, there is little difference between these ships and their normal non-fleet counterparts. I'd like to request a change in Bridge Officer configuration. If not for the current fleet ships, then some other ones down the line?

Some examples (working with the Tier #5 ships);

The Fleet Assault Cruiser ~ The same setup can be used by the Fleet Heavy Cruiser (Cheyenne).
x1 Commander Engineering
x1 Lieutenant Commander Tactical
x1 Lieutenant Science
x1 Lieutenant Engineering
x1 Ensign Tactical/Universal

The Fleet Reconnaissance Science Vessel ~ The same setup can be used by the Fleet Science Vessel (Nova).
x1 Commander Science
x1 Lieutenant Commander Engineering
x1 Lieutenant Tactical
x1 Lieutenant Science
x1 Ensign Engineering/Universal

The Fleet Patrol Escort ~ The same setup can be used by the Fleet Escort (Sabre).
x1 Commander Tactical
x1 Lieutenant Commander Engineering
x1 Lieutenant Science
x1 Lieutenant Tactical
x1 Ensign Engineering/Universal

Old Setup (for those that wish to know what the two guys below were replying on):
The Fleet Assault Cruiser ~ The same setup can be used by the Fleet Heavy Cruiser (Cheyenne).
x1 Commander Engineering
x1 Lieutenant Commander Tactical
x1 Lieutenant Commander Science
x1 Ensign Engineering
x1 Ensign Tactical

The Fleet Reconnaissance Science Vessel ~ The same setup can be used by the Fleet Science Vessel (Nova).
x1 Commander Science
x1 Lieutenant Commander Engineering
x1 Lieutenant Commander Tactical
x1 Ensign Science
x1 Ensign Tactical

The Fleet Patrol Escort ~ The same setup can be used by the Fleet Escort (Sabre).
x1 Commander Tactical
x1 Lieutenant Commander Engineering
x1 Lieutenant Commander Science
x1 Ensign Tactical
x1 Ensign Engineering

and so on... these fleet ships are suppose to be the best ships going. With most of the current ones having the same Boff Setup as their VA counterparts, I don't feel obliged to fork out cash for something that's going to be a bit tougher on the hull; something I can always make up for with consoles.

Just a suggestion anyway. :)

Do what you will to the Recon sci but don't put that boff layout anywhere near my Nova class, that steals two of my best science powers taking over half it's damage capability away, in the event that the devs do implement this change I for one will never forgive you!

This is not the way to make a science ship, this is how to destroy one.

That fleet patrol would be plain broken OP with Aux to Battery (x2) with technicians doffs. There are good reasons why ships don't have two LtCmdr slots, and that the only ship that does has 16k hull.

Okay, I wrote that wrong. I've edited the original post.

They can always be an alternative.

In short, I'd like to use a Cruiser that is capable of having Torpedo High Yield 3. Cruisers (and Science Ships) are more likely to rely on Torpedo Spreads, where Escorts can unload with Cannons, yet few (if any) Cruisers are able to use Torpedo High Yield 3.

Actually, there's a Ship with 2 LC slots and 30k Hull... there is one good reason, but it's not the one you said: Cryptic saves those powerful setups for lockboxes and special p2w Ships like the veteran one.
Regular Fleet Ships? You won't get 2 LCs.

OP: Cruisers that can use THY3:
    - All 4 Odysseys.
    - All 4 Bortases.
    - Excelsior-R.
    - Sovereign-R (Regent).
    - Sovereign-F.
    - Vor'Cha-F.
    - Galor.
    - D'Kora.
Don't know where you got the idea that the Sovereign-F had the same BOFF layout as the Cheyenne-F, they're very different.

True enough, lock box ships don't follow the rules. They set that precedent w/ the Jem'hadar bug.

I refuse to pay the asking price for either the Odyssey or Bortas; especially when they're (from my point of view) an ugly bulk. The Excelsior R and Fleet/Regent Assault Cruiser would be better if the Tactical Ensign Slot was Science (then I'd use the Universal as Science too). This would be my preferred setup:

    x1 Commander Engineering
    x1 Lieutenant Commander Tactical
    x1 Lieutenant Science
    x1 Lieutenant Engineering
    x1 Ensign Science

...and I'm not wasting countless zen on lock boxes in the hope that I'll get a Galor out of it. I wouldn't use the D'Kora.

My mistake, I was comparing all the other ships (most of which have similar setups to the earlier ones. The Assault Cruiser is one of the exceptions).

Also, a more general question, but as an Engineering Skilled Player, what tactical ship would you guys recommend my going with to make the most out of my skills? Ideally, a ship that could make use of cannons (Scatter Volley 3) whilst not losing out too much on Engineering skills.
